Similar situation, except it is my own family who live here who keep buying, eating and asking for the calorie loaded alternative and to boot they also eat the diet stuff I buy specifically for me, making my dieting situation a difficult one. *Hugs* Stay strong, it isn't easy but it has to be possible.

I believe I read somewhere that eating less than 1000 calories is what puts your body into starvation mode. I look forward to seeing what other information is posted on this subject

Ahhh, didn't know that. Thank you. One of the things I love about my new weight loss efforts, I learn so much not only about me or the food I eat but nutritional information per say.

I think the fact that I have so much weight also has an effect on the way a pair of shoes work for me. Being over 300 pounds I find that the support is quite lacking (on the type of shoes I can afford anyways) and I wear them out alot faster too :cry:

Good question, I don't have the answer, except to make an assumption that cooking it a bit longer gets rid of some of the fat in it and it might be a bit healthier for you (calorie wise). I'm looking forward to hearing the correct answer to your question

Oh thanks for sharing it with us. I did a couple hours of walking today and my feet were sooooo sore. I was wearing some old sneakers and even purchased some new ones today but they were cheaper sneakers (all I could afford) I will be looking for some inserts next payday. Thanks for the tip

I'm 312 currently looking to come down to 160 someday. I just started not to long ago here. Working on controlling my eating and since I have mobility issues with arthritis in my back and knees, I'm doing walking (slow pace)

I eat at TGI Friday's from time to time and find it hard to find some of their calorie info online. We all have good days and bad days and I think worrying/stressing over it could lead to stress eating if you aren't careful. Relax and if possible do some more exercise. I'm new to this journey but have figured out it's all about good days and bad and I can't stress over the bad as long as I have more good days than I do…
