Love him: He's still there after 27 years, he's kind, sexy, puts up with my inconsistencies, stays in good shape, reads me well. He has many flaws too, but I don't think it's ever any good to dwell on them or share them on a public forum.

I don't even understand the mfp anymore

^this. I don't veganism is radical or unhealthy. I don't think it's the only way to eat healthy. I think you do need to understand and read about what you are doing if you choose to be vegan, because it is not mainstream, and if you're not used to the lifestyle it can take some adjusting and work at first. I have heard…

Yes I will. I don' t get it every year but I should because I work with vulnerable infants. I don't notice a significant difference to my health on years that I do or don't get it. I rarely get sick.

Make sure you are eating enough protein. For me, a hearty breakfast and lunch with adequate protein helps. Also, sometimes on really long days, I find I'm craving a snack when really I'm thirsty, so drinking water helps.

Go for it! You only have here and now.

Today, it means getting off the pity pot and pushing myself to excel. Today it means going for it.

Oh dear

You can do this. You already have before:-)

Sometimes I snack on a little meal, it's satisfying and when I'm done I'm done. Two of my favourites are: rice noodles with cooked prawns, peas, grated carrots, scallions, chili garlic sauce, brown sugar and veggie base with boiling water poured over the top. I make it extra spicy so it takes a while to eat. My other go to…

This happens to me all the time! Just tonight, he was eating salt and vinegar potato chips! Right in front of me! I had to have a handful with my dinner. It seems to work though because I continue to maintain. Actually, I was able to lose weight and not break up with him also. It must have something to do with taking…

I once lost the last twenty pounds in twelve weeks. I ate 1500 - 1600 calories a day, 70 - 120 grams of protein a day, 20 minutes of HIIT three times a week, and lifting major muscles gradually getting heavier three time a week. Then I stopped and gained it all back over the next three years:)

Or, better yet, why not try hot tea and hot water with a dash of apple cider vinegar? http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1468860-apple-cider-vineger-will-it-help

I don't agree.

I think you're right on track with that program. You're probably going to love it the effects if you are consistent. I also enjoyed reading the book Starting Strength because it went into exquisite detail about form with those compound lifts. So, if you have any concerns about form, I recommend this book. There are many…

No, alas, I have never had the dilemma of looking too young. Sometimes people say I look young for my age, but when you're 46 like me, there's no such thing as looking too young:)

I think it's a great long term goal! The only issue is that it might be hard to determine the criteria for having met your goal. Perhaps you can break it up into measurable steps, like, say, losing x amount of cm around your waist in x amount of weeks.

Are you meeting your carb macros? What about your dark chocolate requirements? I'm just slightly serious but carbs and chocolate both have shown to have a positive effect on serotonin levels. It must be said also, that it's always a good idea to have a discussion with your GO about this. (My GP suggested more chocolate…

I've had chronic pain and have been unable to lift regularly for years, I feel like you do. Every now and then I have a self-pitying cry. If this goes on too long I need to remind myself that there will be a solution and that I don't have anything life threatening. My worst bout was last year when I had a frozen shoulder a…

Be proud!!:). Awesome thread!

I like to feel my flat tummy, rib cage, and hip bones. There was actually a thread about his a while back. I like lying on my side and not feeling the side of my stomach on the mattress. I like trying on clothes and they usually fit, and often finding my size on sale. I find certain *activities* more enjoyable. :) I'm not…

^agreed. When we talk about choices, there are so many different ways to go about this. What irritates me is the whole notion that, as parents, we have less control over our children than advertisers. By the time a child is ten years old, most of our influence and teachings are complete, so if, as a parent you think you're…

I just saw episode 11 season 4, and watched the end scene with Beth and Daryl. This show has some really beautiful and touching moments:)

I've never had a pair of True Religion jeans. *takes notes*

I wonder why this gif makes me smile so much.

I could go sober for half of October, like just the first two weeks? But then again, I've said that before....
