Baggy stretch pants, t-shirts and Crocs, which is the same way I dress even when I'm not in isolation or staying at home. I'm married & in my 40s and have nobody to impress & my husband loves that I'm low maintenance.

It can be managed and put into remission, but it can't be cured. Just like Polycystic ovarian syndrome (another endocrine disease that goes along with insulin resistance & prediabetes) it can be managed & put in remission but it never truly goes away and anything can trigger it to come back. Stress, a hormone fluctuation,…

I had gastric bypass in September. Feel free to add me

Hello! I had gastric bypass on September 20th. All I can say is prepare right now for how you are going to be eating after surgery. I had a full year of preop requirements and it is still a little bit of shock. Join support groups on Facebook, such as baritastic social and bariatric weight loss family (not for profit).…

Me! Add me if you wish. I'm in the thumb.

Naughty lol

I agree. Right now my only allowed form of exercise is walking because I just had surgery 10 weeks ago and I am still on weight and exercise restrictions. Exercise restrictions are due to not being able to consume enough calories to get through a heavy workout and not pass out.

I'm 10 weeks post op, 11 weeks tomorrow. I had to do a year of medically supervised weight loss before insurance would cover it. I had gastric bypass. I lost almost 50 pounds preop. Most was while on a mostly liquid diet because my stomach didn't digest food correctly. I'm now down to 254 from 340. I'm still on mostly…

Oh definitely. I take a ton of vitamins every day because i don't absorb enough from the food I eat. I know the risks, I had to have a second surgery two weeks out because my remnant stomach almost exploded due to an obstruction and my small intestine not being attached in the right place. I'm still actually on lift…

I'm at 600 calories a day max, but I just had gastric bypass surgery 10 weeks ago. I'm living on mostly protein shakes and cheese and sometimes chicken or hamburger meat. you are probably going to say I eat too few calories, but I am just following my doctor's plan. Eventually, if I'm lucky, I will get up to 1200 calories,…

Weight loss surgery is not the easy way out. I'm 10 weeks out from gastric bypass surgery and it is anything but easy. My taste buds have changed drastically and I have been living on mainly cheese and muscle milk protein drinks. Every once in a while I can have mashed potatoes, chicken or hamburger meat. But my stomach…

Thank you! My boyfriend and I have been together for 20 months and are taking our first vacation together! We're going to both Disney world and universal studios. We're planning on taking our own food and snacks with us to avoid the high priced calorie rich foods. I'm getting both very excited but nervous about surgery.…

I'm getting gastric bypass surgery in july. I have been in this process for 11 months now. I have made the proper changes in my life, but in the past 11 months have only managed to lose 37 pounds. I have a few medical issues that make losing weight and keeping it off extremely difficult. I have 175 more pounds to go to be…

I will be having gastric bypass surgery in july!

I'm in the process of qualifying for gastric bypass surgery myself and was originally going to get the sleeve. I was told that if you even rarely get acid reflux 9 times out of 10 the reflux will be worse after getting the sleeve. If you have any questions feel free to message me or add me, as I have found that these…

I try steering clear of pizza as much as possible lol It is my biggest trigger food. Just the cheese and topping though I can do without the crust. Cheese is my weakness

312 here. Lost 30 pounds since July and in 6 months I'm undergoing gastric bypass surgery for some medical reasons. I started at 339.9. If anyone wants to add me you can

Great job man!

Feel free to add me! I have 170-175 to lose.

Lol I'm sorta a nerd. I love all things science, but I'm also really into researching health related things. My mom is a nurse and I have read all her books as well. I think the thirst for knowledge thing is part of the aspergers though. I wasn't diagnosed until a few years ago, but I've always been a researcher. And I…

Also, I have hypoparathyroidism, not ordinary hypothyroidism. I also have aspergers syndrome, bipolar disorder, polycystic ovarian syndrome and insulin resistance, vitamin b 12 and iron deficiency, pernicious anemia, and a partridge in a pear tree. I've taken several medical classes, done my research, and exercise and diet…

I'm 36 years old, don't let the screen name fool you. I've also had this disease since I was a baby. I think I know what I'm talking about. P.s I wasn't referring to your comment. I was commenting on the original post. Sorry for the mixup

I have 175 to lose. Feel free to add me. :)

"Just eat more salads, you'll lose weight" Um... I'm allergic to lettuce...

I have about 175 more pounds to lose. Feel free to add me.

I have the charge 2. I love it. It keeps me motivated to keep moving and tracks my sleep and other activities besides just walking.
-
My endocrinologist always told me that eating right and exercise was an excellent way to lose weight. This article is full of it. Sorry you were given false information.
-
Yes it can, I am in cosmetology school and have gained a little weight just from all the stress I have been under. I still stick to my calories, it's just the fact that I'm super stressed.

I like tall men. My Husband is 6'5. He's like a big Teddy bear. Did I mention I'm only 5'4?
