  • Thanks Everyone. The only enemy of mine is the mirror. When I awaken I feel like I did in my 20's, 30's, 40, 50's plus until I look into the mirror and wonder how the years have flown. The lines are cut a bit deeper and all that white and grey hair. So, I get my super powers back and look away from the mirror... haha
  • I suppose going to be 60 is almost tops for the group but hope to join in.
  • Having a great Sunday today, first snow fall of the year, time to exercise and relax with the guitar... How is everyone doing on their specific journey?
  • Good Friday Morning everyone! Glad to meet all of you. Beginning a new day is always exciting especially knowing it'll be 80 today. Let the Sunshine in...

  • While trying to stay up with my two little boys ages 7 and 6 as well as surviving 2 heart attacks and surgeries I think I have finally figured out this game of life a bit better with lifestyle change and exercise... Maybe, being over 50 is a little late in the game but still think its humorous when your appearance on the…
  • I use dumbbells pretty regularly in my workouts a lot of times I use them to either pre or post exhaust my muscles before/after main workout but incorporate a lot of different exercises to use during regular workout as well. @prettycunninghat I use a set from IronMaster and though a bit spendy I feel like it is a great…
  • What I recommend is to visit a site called bodybuilding dot com. a great site indeed. I follow a dr Jim Stoppani and learn from him about nutrition, supplements and a wide array of workouts. But there are ton's of workouts, nutrition guides from both bodybuilding men and women. Hope this helps.
  • Just wanted to stop in and say Hi and introduce myself, Guardianwill here and the profile tells the rest. Hope to meet each of you. Have a great day!
  • Love my Garmin Vivofit. It helps me understand my everyday activities and it is waterproof and the battery lasts about a year so you put it on and sync once or twice a day and forget about it. All fitness bands have thier pro's and con's and the garmin isn't any different. The cons of it though can be overlooked a bit…
  • Being told by the Gym trainer I look like I am really good shape. Priceless....
  • A little over 9 months ago my body fat measured well over 35%. Today 9 months later while at the gym they measured me at 11.2%
  • Greets, I have dropped from a 58" to a 30" in 9 months. One more inch and I will literally be half the size I was which will happen soon.

  • My Goal is 1200 each day as well. Not too hard to maintain infact most days I am below and have followed through with my goals. I have 9 pounds to go to accomplish my final goal. Would love to have friends too that are motivators as well as like being motivated.
  • Greets, hope your doing well. Congrats on doing a minute or so of Jogging and the things your doing! Every little bit of exercise counts. If you can break up some of these exercises instead of stressing out about longevity then I think you will feel ultimately better about yourself and you will see results and longer times…
  • I'm not a big eater of rice in the first place but I am especially not fond of brown rice either. So what I do is pretty simple and still don't eat too much rice. I first wash the brown rice and then soak the rice for about 1 hour in clean water. While 1/2 - 1 cup of brown rice is soaking for the 1 hour I then do a few…
  • I've lost 135 plus pounds in a little over 7.5 months. Don't know how inspirational I am just trying to do the very best that I can and keep learning for this new journey of mine...
  • Greets! Hope I can be some help here... Motivation should always come from within un-relying on outside stimuli. Yes, we have good stimuli as like music or a favorite past time but to really learn how to overcome your bodies ability to fight back change, the stimuli should always come from within--even if it at times has…
  • Greetings, Actually I went through Chemo not too long ago. During this time I did exercise and you have your good days and bad days. Even on the bad days though I used a stretch band and exercise ball and did simple exercises during those times. Worked for me lost what I needed to and still exercised enough to tell the…

  • Between sets I have a small prayer I say twice and thirty seconds is up. Helps me stay focused. Before my little prayer I make adjustments to weights if needed as well.
  • With 2 growing boys up at the crack of dawn the only time I have truly to myself is in the later evening. Not much choice but it seems to work for me.... I personally think everyone has their own built in clock to do different things and best for it. I do not think if you are strong enough to give a great effort in the…
  • I know for 6 weeks after my surgery I was limited - very limited in any lifting. So I simply used a exercise ball and a stretch band to do exercises. After 6 weeks I was still limited but not as severely. So I would do push-ups from the kitchen counter each time I went in to eat or get water. It worked well, very well for…
