Well looking and feeling good is the ultimate goal anyway :grinning: Nothing at all to be judgemental about! YOu have obviously been doing this for a while, you know the intellectual information and most importantly you know and are in tune with your body. I think if my TDEE was that low I would go into denial and blame…
-
OMG!! That is seriously bugger all! :( Have you always had a significantly lower TDEE? Or only once you turned 50?
-
I have seen that article before and its excellent! Thanks for the reminder sljomial! Janetteluparia i know activity trackers aren't hugely accurate, but i have found that on normal days where i work (somewhat active at work) and then do some other activity my TDEE is around 2000 give or take. I use the UP24.…

wow that is brilliant!! maintaining for so long!! Well done!!! I get what you mean about weight loss not being linear lol I keep telling a friend of mine the same thing when she gets all stressy about not losing an X amount of weight per week. Don't worry look at it over a month or two rather than weekly and your average…
-
thanks Smjomial :) How slow did you lose your weight? I have my mfp set at lightly active at the moment, I don't want to lose it too fast either, i have it set at 500g loss per week. It's good to know you found it easy to transition to maintenance, how long have you been maintaining for? I know it's silly but i think part…

Ok that sounds really weird! I don't get it either would love to hear feedback about it from experienced users too

*two thumbs up*

i am NOT a numbers junkie! quite the opposite really LOL But how do you find what the BMF has your BMR set at?? also for a numbers nob to work out the average of the 3 days of 4 hours is to add up the 3 days then divide by 3, correct?? so say it says for the 3days between midnight and 4am i burnt 220 cals 210 cals 250 cals…
-
so I just realised I can sync my current bodymedia to mfp and having done that i have gone from having 60 calories left to eat, to 480 cals left!! *gasp* I won't be eating the extra cals today, its too late to eat that much more but it is good to know it does sync and see the whole thing in action. It still feels…
-
Thanks Raymiles for your response. I think i need to actually see a sync in action to really understand it all. I have a bodymedia which i haven't used for ages now! It just gets really annoying and ugly and uncomfortable. I actually thought i had no subscription left on it, but charged it up last night and the…

I am with your son on this one!! He sounds like one clever kid, especially for his age :) That has bought me to tears, give him a hug from me. Congratulations!! What an amazing achievement and thanks for sharing!!
-
well said!! :drinker:
-
so at this stage is it best to just not synch the two? I don't log exercise anyway on MFP, use it to log my food, then at a defecit from the daily burn averages my BMF gives me. Or have the synching issues been sorted now?
-
How do you get that type of readout? I can only find report and export? They are amazing burns!!
-
still wish customs wasn't so finicky in Australia and it was worth the risk of having them sent here LOL
-
ROFL ROFL They are hysterical! I was doing barbell lateral lifts and had to keep an eye on lifting both arms the same, so easy to compensate with the dominant side. Seriously that second guy is a hoot, the way his whole side lifts up! Does he know what he is doing? or is it meant to be a joke?? Beer belly guy is just being…
-
awesome feedback from an experienced user Lisa!! Thanks heaps!! Off to lift now, before starting work at 6:30am lol
-
Thanks Greenrun :) I am not eating back my exercise calories just eating at a cut, so that part isn't an issue. You are right about my dogs loving the longer walks and my body benefiting from the lifting, though i will admit that my mind benefits from getting out for walks and into the fresh air :D Mind you i have no…

no ideas from anyone ? :blushing:

Thank you Kiki and Lucia, you are both gorgeous souls xxxooo Also a huge thank you to tbellamy1 & keesh1123 for thinking of and organizing this!! :)

OMG Tyraskanks that is how i feel!!! although i am not looking into NROL4W, I am ready for lifting heavy!!! So I looked at STS and thought holy crap thats scary!! Then i thought strong lifts is the way to go cause its only like 3 different exercises, easy right?? Then i watched it and thought far out that looks too scary…

That is brilliant!! :D

OH :( I hope Gemiwing is doing well!! :) Well good to hear Mike is at least still around, he still eating more and all that? Hiking?
-
Agree with Haybales :) Seems like you may have missed some of the posts made for you in this thread. Maybe start reading your thread from the start again, i think sometimes if people post at the same time, posts get lost :)

Agreed! the way our society has taught and ingrained us, particularly us women, to eat like sparrows, it is already hard enough for many of us to up our calories. This type of attitude does nothing to help those of us struggling to trust the eat more process! Agree with Lulu unless you are giving the process a fair go,…

I emailed Lisa yesterday to see if she would deliver to Australia and how much last night! I was telling a friend what the quote was for deliver to Australia and was actually going to order them, when my friend asked how they would go through customs seeing as they are a home made snack rather than commercially made? I…
-
ahhh ok so you don't even use the BMF for putting your food in then? So you log food on MFP then use BMF just for your TDEE, yeh that makes sense :)
-
hmmm this must be a sign! I was going to attempt this anyway, but this might be the push i need :)
-
I am with you on this one Lulu!!! It really sucks reading all about them and not being able to order them LOL I wonder if we have something like it here in Australia? Maybe we need to start searching for recipes, i keep thinking how they would be such a rocking thing to alternate with the quest bars LOL

i don't think HRM give an accurate measure for all day wear? hopefully someone who knows the science reasoning behind it can step in, but my understanding is that they are only accurate for exercise?
