  • Most places in the US are required to freeze all fish they serve. Your sushi isn't "fresh caught" that day, it's frozen, thawed (controlled thaw) and served because parasites will die in the freezer. So, if you go to decent restaurant with money to lose, you'll be fine.
  • I used to love it but I'm a stomach sleeper and after getting a nipple piercing I cannot fall asleep without a shirt/ sports bra and expect to not scream in pain while something tugs on it at night (blanket, sheet, cat bf, whatever)
  • I'm a part time pastry chef, part time line cook, and full time culinary student.
  • There was this really good diet that I heard about, where you have to eat three pounds of carrots first thing in the morning, then you eat whatever else you want. It didn't really work out for Garfield, but I'm sure you could give it a go. Seriously, just get over it, calorie counting sucks for the first few weeks but then…
  • Same actually. My boyfriend is so embarrassed about it that he tells everyone we met at Walmart. Because that's somehow any better.
  • Currently a line cook and here's swinging for my interview on Thursday to be ANYTHING in Chef Pierre Chambrin's kitchen. :drinker:
  • Baby powder, corn starch or wearing your pants up higher so that the fabric covers the skin rubbing together.
  • I work as a cook and mfp says I burn around 1,000 per 6 hour shift. I'm not sure if that's exactly right but it does get up to 120 degrees in the back, I lift 50-100 pound trays of pork *kitten*, ribs, and chicken, and I'm constantly moving and sweating. So, get a physically demanding job?
  • Seriously, this. You're a grown up now you really don't have to deal with someone coming over to your house and being a picky child about everything. Your cooking isn't the problem, it's your sister. She really just sounds like she needs to get told off. So do it.
  • If your dough drips you did something wrong. It should be fine as long as you were able to kneed it with no problem.
  • I had been bloated for about three to four days, and I was having a hard time fitting into my jeans. My stomach hurt, it kept making noises, I would get nauseous and hungry, at the same time, the scale said I was gaining when I've been under my count, pain killers we not helping, Beano was not helping, I felt pregnant. I…
  • If that was true, I'd be a skinny model.
  • I friend zoned my currant boyfriend. He was around to help me out with a ****ty break up and dealing with the ex. I didn't think at first that I was interested in him at all but, he really came around for me and I decided I was done being treated like crap.
  • Does it just taste like koolaide pickles? I'm having a hard time imagining that.
  • Awesome! the first Fable is one of my favourite games of all time. [/quote] My favorite Fable is Fable 3, I know that nobody agrees with me but I absolutely love it. I don't know if I want the guild seal on the upper part of the back of my neck or if I want to get the playing cards with the hero as an Ace, Walter as King,…
  • I'm currently deciding on what Fable tattoo I should get, I'm hooked on Gates of Andaron (or 4 story as it's now called :grumble:), I am a HUGE fan of Batman hardcovers (like the Killing Joke), and I'm into a few anime series but I am picky.
  • I made grilled chicken on rice with a cilantro lime sauce. it was less than 400 calories and pretty filling so that's a win in my book!
  • Butbutbutbutbutbut Sometimes I need a love spell or potion. Or a divorce specialist when the spells/potions work too well.
  • The only scale that I have is a hand me down from my boyfriends mother and it measures in ounces. I know it's not as precise but, for now it seems to be working. Maybe if I can find a cheap scale that measures in grams I can go for that but It'll be hard convincing my boyfriend to spend anymore money on kitchen stuff:/
  • I think I threw up in my mouth a little bit.
  • I can understand where you're coming from. On my weigh in days I will not drink or eat anything until I poop in the morning so I know my actual weight. I actually have a nurse friend (who has been a nurse for 40+ years) and says that that's the only way to know your true progress. When you think about it you can have…
  • I never understood why there even is a dry cilantro. It has literally ZERO taste. You're wasting your money if you buy it. If you can't get fresh the second best is frozen. NEVER buy dry, It's a less smelly version of fish flakes. End rant, that is all. :blushing:
  • My favorite part of the bible is Deuteronomy. 28If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered, 29he shall pay her father fifty shekelsc of silver. He must marry the young woman, for he has violated her. He can never divorce her as long as he lives. This, this is…
  • You look great! And I very much agree on the cute dresses, I love the pink one!
  • Bread. I LOVE my recipe for homemade bread. I used to make two loaves every three-four days and my boyfriend and I would just destroy it with some butter or margin. I make it less now but I still find myself craving it constantly. But, I have noticed the past few times that I made it, it didn't taste as good. SO I do think…
  • I would try fruit with a little bit of sweets to it, yogurt dipped strawberries or dark chocolate dipped cherries.
