Everyone of us are slightly different, have you measured your resting heart rate? (First thing on a morning, 2 fingers on pulse and count for 60 secs, average this over 3 days) Have you checked your HRM against an actual measurement at resting? I guess you've been doing a steady jog? I've 5 11, 40 years and roughly same…

Thanks, thats kinda making sense, I am on a cal deficit, 1500 a day and with exercise often see's me with 400 - 500 cals left over.
-
According to runnersworld.com, my heart rate should be 182.8max - those zones are set by Runtastic based on my age/weight etc? I'm not exactly skinny at 92.5KG, almost 40 years old, if you can enlighten me on what my zones should be changed to I'll try and do it, as I say, I rely on my HRM and Runtastic to do the calcs...

So based on what you're saying, whilst in the Aerobic and Anaerobic, I'm burning carbohydrates, as opposed to body fat? Then, once if finished the run, I am burning fat? I'm still confused as you will probably tell by this response lol.

A wrist watch like the TomTom Cardio but with a WIFI connection or even a data card slot, would be something I would wear, this and MyFitnessPal/Runtastic combined app so that there's an all for one distance/diet tracker, all with a good battery and simple charge point, that way I can monitor my calories in and out. I have…

I use the Wahoo Blue HR belt, it might have changed names now, I think this is the same belt that Runtastic sell from their store, anyway, Ive used it for ages, the battery lasts a good 3-4 months with regular exercise, it works with most apps out there and if cost is an issue, you can pick them up for approx £50 online,…

Runtastic Pro, simply because it seems to be the best for connectivity with my Wahoo blue HR, the others all seem to have their own issues although it might just be my experience. Always used Endomondo until I finally stuck with the runtastic app.

Thank-you, therefore this explains what I'm noticing is actual as opposed to my imagination, in this case, how to log Insanity?
-
Agree on Doctors advice, I waqs thinking of a low kb weight though, perhaps 2.5KG would not be a problem...? Certainly worth looking into.

Have you guys tried Kettlebells for core strength? They are amazing if used right, not only that, average burn of 20cals per 1 minute of exercise, youtube some programs? The workouts kill you though lol, 20 minutes with a kettlebell feels like you been hit by a small horse.

If you are exercising so late, why not try a handful of nuts, pumpkin seeds, almonds etc...
-
oops double

Try these for natural and supplemented shakes/smoothies? http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/268473-protein-smoothies-balanced

Im doing a fair bit of cycling at the minute, did 131km over the same calorie period. My calorie intake is set at 1310 and I'm eating them back as and when needed, unless it's a late evening bike ride, in which case its snack and bed. My target is 2lb loss per week but im not sure im getting anywhere near that, shapes…

Endomondo again, tells you whos local to you and its free, you can add them as friends if you want. Where in UK are ya?
-
Hmm I think I see where I need to be....will maybe keep an eye on things, I feel fine, and am eating reasonably ok too.
-
So if I was over (in the red) by 49 last week, is that good or bad?
-
This is just confusing lol
-
I stayed the same this week which makes me wonder though.
-
My best advice is to try and find someone who wants to exercise with you, you find the in built mechanism not to let others down is better than the one that says, I cant be arsed today. Worked for me.
-
Try endomondo, free version is fine, if you message me I can email you an invite I think, or just google Endomondo
-
