  • You are correct, he should be eating the similiar diet you are. Just because someone is at a "healthy weight" doesn't mean their muscle composition is healthy. Because he is doing P90x he should get more protein into him to repair the muscles he is damaging.
  • Maybe you don't have to use refines white sugar. We sub in brown sugar, whole sugar or cane sugar in all our recipes that call for sugar, you can usually use 3/4 the amount of sugar as well. Have you tried your same recipe with honey? Your recipe does sound delicious, but it might be time to cut it out of your diet.
  • The way MFP sets up your weight loss is to already make you loose up to 2 lbs a week by cutting a large portion of calories out of your daily intake. If you excercise and not eat back those calories, then your body goes into starvation mode. In starvation mode your body tends to store more calories in the form of fat for…
  • I know that costco carries one. I also just saw an ad for President's Choice Greek Yogurt, its new to their line.
  • Congrats, you just had a .9 lb dump! That must have felt good!
  • I love crab and it's imitators. I eat it almost every day. It's a great way to add protein and virtually no fat.
  • I agree with the above statements. You need to adjust your levels to 40%carbs, 40% protein and 20% fat. If you are working out, trying to shape your muscles you need lean protein. If your diet is to rich in carbs your body will break down the muscles before it breaks down fat. If you can use lean protein, or protein the is…
  • Stick to the healthier appies. When you are out drinking, try to drink a glass of water for every alcoholic drink you have. This can help flush the alcohol through your system and not leave you dehydrated. If you aren't able to cook good healthy meals, try to find some really healthy microwavable dishes to eat. Although…
  • just wheen yourself onto water slowly, youll find it quite amazing. Use natural things like lemons, limes, oranges etc... A lot of the additives have either sugar, sucralose, or aspertame. These things don't help with weight lose, not to mention the other health issues that go along with them.
  • Make sure you are getting enough vitamin A, E and C. These vitamins help promote elasticity in your skin. I didn't look at your diary, but how much water are you drinking? Make sure you drink lots of water throughout the day. You can also get creams with Vitamin E in them, rub the area twice daily to keep the elasticity up…
  • Do you have an iphone or android? If so, there is an app that is called Tunein Radio. There are a bunch of radio stations that have a variety of genres of music. I prefer to listen to techno for rhythm when running, and metal for other music to get me pumped up. But, it totally matters on what type of music you like…
  • Try some trail mix. Try not to eat 45 minutes before the run. Keep track of how much water you have consumed before each run as well. Some days you may be more dehydrated and that can have an effect on your energy levels.
  • I straight up suggest cutting out cola's all together. I rarely drink cola unless it's a rare Rum and Coke. I made this suggestion to a friend who would normally drink 2-3 cans a day. Just by cutting out the cola from her diet, she lost 20 lbs in 2 months. She did not change anything else in her diet or excercise any more…
  • 21 lbs since January, that's great. Each body will loose weight at a different pace. As you know, the smart food popcorn doesn't help any. You can adjust your diary preferences and try and lower the daily percentage of fat you intake in the settings menu. Replace this with protein and you should see a bit more of a weekly…
  • Are you sitting at home and drinking it alone? If so put the bottle away and you wont be dehydrated and drained tomorrow. If drinking with a girlfriend, keep it up! If with a boyfriend, finish the bottle and burn some other calories before bed ;)

  • Try having BBQ chicken breasts one night and add an extra one on the Q. Cut this cooked one up and make a wrap with it using whatever greens you have around the house. You could flavour it with a low fat salad dressing. Yum.
  • I have found that it takes a good three weeks to start the habit. One way to keep motivated is by noticing the differences your body is going through. Take your weight each day, feel the muscles starting to tone. It becomes addictive. Only think about excercise, and keep your eye on the goal.
  • I suggest to boost your metabolism you start eating 6 small snacks a day. By eating three large "square" meals per day, you body has learned to store nutrients and fat for extended periods of time. By eating 6 meals, your body gets used to a constant supply of food.
