I make apple sauce all the time for my baby and my step son. Baking the apple keeps the most nutrients in them. I cut them in half, core them, place them in a 9x13 glass pan, sprinkle cinnamon on them, turn them over (skin side up), add about a ¼ of a inch of water. Cook 400 degrees for 30 mins. Then I take the skins off…

I used to frequent this site until I became pregnant and now 6 months later I am back. I have been really great with my weight gain and I want to keep it that way. As of 5 months I have put on 7 pounds and the Dr wants me to stick to a 2 to 3 pounds gain a month. The Dr said these next few months will be easy to pack on…

Anna, I am in the same boat. I wish I had lights around my round pen.

Is anyone loosing motivation or trying to reorganize your routine because of the time change? Before the time change I would hike and run when I got off of work, but now when I get home I only have about 30 min of day light. It is really bumming me out. I am trying to figure out another option. Mornings are out because I…

Welcome Faithstephenson and Pdxmomof2! I think this is great that all of us are willing to put our measurements out there. Tracking our measurements once a month is fine with me as well. How about we post our results at the beginning of each month, what do you guys think?
-
I have been measuring since May of this year and I have steadily been loosing inches. For me measuring is a bigger reward because as I gain muscle I may not see a change in the scale or the scale may even go up but when I measure I know I am making progress.
-
I am sorry Beth I think my first post may have been confusing. I haven’t set goals and you don’t have to set them either. The measurements posted were when I start and what I am now. But I wish I had a target measurement though. People have target weights why not have a target measurement??? 5’7” Female Stomach – Start 44”…

Wow Mom and Wife you have this down. Thanks so much for sharing. And I agree with you that you should always measure in the same place each time. Oh and everyone add your total inches lost if you want to, what a great idea. My total inches lost is 39”.
-
Beth, I am not sure how to determine a goal measurement. My idea is that if we share our heights and our measurements we can get an idea what an average measurement would be for our height. Plus I think it would be great to see how many inches people have lost because for me I am showing more progress with inches lost then…

Good morning all, I have noticed that a lot of you prefer measuring to track your progress. Well I thought starting a message board would be great support for us to share our secrets, track our progress and give advice. I started MFP in May, and I have really changed my lifestyle around. I will share with you my height, my…

Yeah that site has problems, other than setting up teams, the site isn't user friendly and it is slow. Toooooooo dang bad I thought it was a great idea for us MFPers to be a team. Oh well maybe the website will get fixed. Thanks for the help though.

lleanak I added you but I can't see the others. Oh also it looks like your on a different path then me. I am having troubles navigating this site. Not so easy!

Tweety, I pretty much only use the tape measure because I hate the scale. So far I have lost 3” on my neck 4” on my arms 10” on my waist / stomach and 7” on my hips since May. I was measuring myself every two weeks or a month and I would always see a huge progress but then I started to measure myself every week and I…

I am in the same boat, shedding the inches off but my weight isn’t changing. So needless to say I am a bit frustrated. I have often wondered if I just stuck to my allowed calories and didn’t exercise if I would loose weight but I haven’t tried it yet. At some point there has to be a break, I don’t want to be this weight…
-
Janet, Give yourself a break. It is going to be hard for at least a month and then you will see that your lifestyle changes and it gets way easier. I was the same way the first month always thinking man I miss this food and I miss that food and I plane just want to dive into this food. As you fight the temptation it will…

Oh that was just a random note of what I know I am going to eat for the day there will be more. I definitely eat all my calories and exercise calories to a fault. As hard as it is at times. That’s why I am confused. And I know muscle weights more than fat but I still want my weight to go down as well. Confused!

Good Morning, You may know that I am scared of the scale in fact I hate it and all I have been doing is measuring. Well since this thread I want to jump on the scale and weigh in with you guys. A little recap, I have lost 24.5” all over and 15 pounds. The 15 pounds came off pretty easy and steady at 2 pounds a week. But…

I need some help and reassurance…… I have been dieting and exercising for 3 months and I am having issues with the scale. I have lost about 15 pounds but in the last month or more I really haven’t lost much, maybe 2 pounds and it is driving me crazy. I decided to heck with the scale and I primarily track my progress by…

Ok 20 somethings I would like to join the club! I can’t tell you my weight because I am scared of the scale. I used to weigh myself all the time when I first started but realized I was obsessed and sometimes disappointed. So I only take measurements now. I started in May and this is where I was and where I am now; Waist &…

Yes that is bad. I know it sounds weird but trust us we have all been through it, and have realized that eating your exercise calories is key. In the beginning I didn’t eat my exercise calories either and I regret it because I wasted a good 3 weeks that I could have been loosing weight but wasn’t.
