I'll see it because Star Wars, but I hated The Last Jedi and I have low expectations of this one too. I don't even have tickets yet. Empire is the best one. Fight me.

I didn't have a fusion, but I did have a microdiscectomy and concur the recovery is long. Make sure you have a GOOD physical therapist lined up when you're cleared to go. My post surgery setback I was not prepared for was a horrible spinal headache. I had a dural tear during surgery that they did patch, but it didn't hold.…

Take your copay to a doctor and/or physical therapist who actually knows what he/she is talking about. Working through soreness is one thing; working through real pain is something else entirely.

Definitely raspberry ketones.

$14 for drop in or $120 for a 10 class pass or $105 for unlimited (with a three month commitment). I pay for the 10 class pass because I can't always get there. Personally, there is no substitute for a good studio. I will pay for my classes before I'd do it at home with YouTube. I need the full experience of the instructor…

You've been told to stick to light cardio because I presume you're still in the acute phase of your injury. i.e. you're still in pain. Once your pain lessens, your PT should start working with you on strengthening exercises and stretches to keep you out of pain. If not, then it's time for a different PT. They're not all…

Sounds about right. All of mine started dying at about the year mark.

NP. I wish I would have found them sooner.

Yes, not lifting sucks (been there!) and being in pain sucks more. Are you on IG? If so, look up DocJenFit, Squat_University, and The Movement Maestro. All are PTs and all are lifters in some capacity. Their content is my favorite (but not a substitute for still going to your doctor). They post lots of good mobility stuff.

I'm not saying you have a herniated disc. I'm just saying it's likely not an SI joint issue. There's a lot at play when it comes to back injuries and it's not all black and white. Not to be a jerk, but when asking Dr. Google what might be wrong, you can apply your symptoms to just about anything. Your doctor will likely…

Are you sure it's your SI joint? That seems to be the most (self) misdiagnosed issue among lifters. I thought I had the same issue; turns out I herniated a disc. Things to work on while you heal: lots of stretching (hamstrings, glutes, QL), look into McGill's big 3 for mobility, and work on strengthening your core. In my…

Now I want kringle

I'm still a couch potato, just for one less hour every day. Also, I got a puppy who doesn't let me be very lazy these days, but I still manage.

Squat Deadlift Bench Press Run - mostly outside in my neighborhood, but I have a gym with treadmills at my office I use when it's too cold Yoga - this is the only one I do 100% outside of my home That said, what I deem important may not be as important to others. It's all about what your personal goals are.

Do they have any interest in tumbling/gymnastics? Do you have a SkyZone nearby?

The fastest way to make them hate exercise is to make them exercise. Go to the park and run around and maybe start going with your wife to the grocery store.
-
What does your doctor or physical therapist recommend? I'd start there.

Ugh, she is the WORST. Srs, google "Sarah Bowmar reviews" and see what comes up. Also, she was once a competitor. I'm sure at one time she was on a program of some sort that was very glute specific.

I remember. "You know how people say things are NSFW and they really aren't so you open them anyway? THIS ONE IS NOT SAFE FOR WORK!!!"
-
LMAO, definite ban

ask her about her black eye

So much work with the copy and pasting. I'm far too lazy forthatshit.

I did the bodyweight Strong Curves program and it was a killer. I probably could've made more aesthetic progress had my diet been better at the time, but I definitely developed stronger glutes.

SHAME

I used to be in the school of "I just do it" but as I've gotten older and off birth control, my periods are not kind to me. Thankfully, it's usually just a day that's really bad, so I push training off to the next day.

You also can't afford to injure it again. A good physical therapist is worth his/her weight in gold. I had back surgery last April, but my therapy could be totally different than what yours would be. I would really, really try to get in at least once and maybe explain your financial concerns.

Build up your running base and upper body strength. You'll need both.

I wasn't a fan of Cronometer. Too many basic things you needed to upgrade for, like separating meals out. Their database was weak too, but maybe it's better now. A lot of things I scanned weren't found. I've been here too long and have too many recipes built to switch over. I'm not a competitor or any kind of athlete, so I…

You should look out for eating too many calories, just like with any other diet.
