  • That is so awesome! Congrats! We can do ANYTHING through Christ who gives us Strength! :-)
  • Way to go on the first step! That tends to be the hardest. For myself, I found walking to be a good exercise. I started out walking what made me comfortable and adding when it worked for me. I also found eating small meals/snacks and actually writing down the calories a huge help in deciding what I wanted to eat verses…
  • I think it is a personal decision. My mom eats meat daily and she maintains a weight below 110 lbs. I decided to stop eating beef & dairy for a while since I am lactose intolerant. I currently only eat Turkey & maybe chicken once a week and I am slowly losing the weight. Good Luck! Sherry
  • This has definitely made me see the good and bad in my eating habits. I am now more aware of what I eat. :embarassed: Over the weekend I worry less about my calories and viewing this past weekends results, I am not ready for those types of weekends...
  • Thanks! I am new here and did not look for a previous topic. :ohwell: I am definitely watching my water intake now. I know currently I am not exercising to were I need a lot of water... Sherry
  • As moms I think we forget to do this simple thing! Too worried about everyone else! Congrats on your weight loss!
  • WIth a busy life(mom of 4) it is so easy to fall back into bad habits!
  • This pic is from Cincoteague Aug 2008 right before my weight gain. You will get there!
  • My goal is to wear a size 10 again! I want to get down to 140 and ultimately to 130...
  • Don't feel bad. We've all had those days of running to food and a moment of eating ice cream is way better than a week of bad eating habits. I was a smoker for over 18 yrs so instead of getting a cigarette, I reach for food...... As far as marriage goes, my 1st marriage was not good(separated after 9yrs).I have been with…
  • I portion my meals. I preload my meals for the day and generally know how much I have for dinner. Breakfast, lunch and 2 snacks are always about the same in calories. 550 for noodles is a given and if you haven't gone over,I wouldn't worry about it. You have got to give into cravings in moderation of course. :)
  • The BIG 4-0 was quite difficult for me and has been a really good turning point as well.
  • I turned 40 this past September. My turning point was my size 12 pants were getting tight again and I did not want to get back into a size 14!!! I love food, so I am working on ways to fulfill cravings without ruining my healthy eating habits..
  • Hi Cheryl, I's Sherry and new here(even though I joined a few months ago)I am 40 perimenopausal and quit smoking Aug 2008(almost 20yrs of smoking). I gained over 36 lbs and have shed about 20 of those lbs. 3 years later I still crave cigarettes and have found myself "eating" instead of smoking!!!
  • My diary is public, just because their is no need to "hide" my bad eating habits. It helps me to think twice before wanting to eat some foods....
  • I was also on a good path...lost 25 lbs. Ate & exercised really good. Then I had to get back surgery, and have been struggling with my motivation since(Oct 2009). I got this app on my iPod probably about 2 months ago, and lately I started to watch my eating habits again. Ideally I want to lose 40lbs more but realistically,…
