  • That is a true victory! You can go so far with a healthy eye for food. Way to go!
  • Duct tape will fix anything! You're entirely correct.
  • I would recommend P90X for someone who has already started exercising and has gotten to a point where she feels comfortable working out and even likes it. Although beginners can do it, because you do only what you can, not what the guy on the tube does, I think a person could get discouraged seeing some ripped and super…
  • I'm right there. I was on a bad plateau. Increased my calorie intake, my workouts, my fruits and veggies, decreased sodium, and started zig zagging. And it worked! But, I've gone back to the easy, prepackaged foods that set me on a bad course to begin with. I WANT it... so, now that I see what I have to do to get it - a…
  • So, you disagree... no need to be condescending. We are all trying to grow and improve. Let's try to stay positive, even when we disagree, and not be sarcastic with one another.
  • Look out! :) Awesome job! Great attitude! Keep it up! You are lookin' good. :) Bet you're feeling good, too!
  • Tips that people gave me that are true and really helped me: Keep trying, even if you hit a plateau and don't lose for awhile. Eventually, you will start losing, so don't give up! Lower your sodium intake (fewer pre-packaged foods), increase your potassium intake (more fruits and veggies), and drink as much water as you…
  • The change is amazing! You are doing awesome. You look so much younger.
  • Awesome post! Your success is very inspiring. Thank you.

  • The best way is, when it's possible, weigh your food. Then you will have the most accurate quantity. If your quantity is correct, you can look at MFP then cross-reference other websites, if you wish, to make sure the numbers are accurate. In my opinion, getting the quantity consumed correct is the best way to ensure you…
  • AWESOME! You look really great at your current weight. The change from your before picture to now is very drastic - like you don't even look like the same person. Very inspiring! Thank you for sharing.
  • And, they're delicious! They are a treat!
  • Grapefruit. Eat 1/2 - 1 a day starting the few days before and into your TOM until you quit feeling bloated. It works. Promise. Naturally flushes out the excess water... and anything else you're not eliminating on your own. ;-) If you're feeling extremely bloated you may want to eat more than one. And, they're good for you!
  • GREAT advice! I use a calendar for just about everything else. It amazes me I never thought to calendar work outs. Thanks!
  • Is it because you love protein rich foods? As long as you are getting healthy sources of protein, I don't see a problem. I believe that our bodies know what they need, if we will just listen. If you have a love for healthy, protein rich foods then maybe you're a person who needs more protein. MFP is awesome, and I LOVE it,…
  • I was reading yesterday that overeating, at first, causes your body to try to get rid of excess calories by creating additional body heat. Basically, your body wants to stay at a certain weight, so if you overeat, it will try to waste energy/calories. (Eventually, you gain weight, though, and your body adjusts to its new…
  • I hate to hear the Yoplait is no good. Haven't tried it, but I almost always get sugar free/fat free flavored yogurts. To me, the ones with sucralose taste just as good as the kind with real sugar... and they usually have 40% or more fewer calories. Don't give up on diet yogurt just yet, is all I would say. Also, I love…
  • @ droppin_lbs: Well put!
  • @ onawho: I get obsessed with food and if I allow food to be my pleasure, even good food, then I'm afraid I will run the risk of going over board. Too much of a good thing can still be bad. When you are an over eater, you want to eat too much of EVERYTHING, including healthy foods. So, for now, I'm really trying to focus…
