That is great! How long have you done this? I have thought about doing this, but I am honestly afraid to. I am afraid of "relapsing". So how do you recover after Christmas? Obviously there will be times one will be faced with challenges such as birthdays and Christmas, what is the best way you have found to handle this?

Could you please explain how farmers are to blame for processed food??? It is supply and demand. Much of the corn, soy, and milo produced goes to feed livestock. The rest goes to supply food to people who are buying crap. There's not a shortage of vegetables. I don't see anyone waiting on line at Walmart to pick out the…

This is a bit of a sensitive subject at the moment. The drought has impacted the ag industry so deeply. If it were not for proactive programs in place, half of the country would look like it did during the dust bowl. Even with drought resistant gmo's planted, very little dry land is producing. I may be mistaken, but I…

THANK YOU!!! We are in a drought and the world will look much different next year. The ag industry as a whole is working to find ways to be more efficient through proven programs like no till and fallowing practices. Seventy years ago just under half of the population farmed. Today, just under two percent of the population…

It is pretty easy to see where your produce comes from. It is clearly marked. Simply read the label. This is from the enactment of COOL, country of origin labeling. I grow my own or shop at the farmers market. I don't buy from Walmart as it seems to spoil faster. I will attribute that to handling practices.

I am not sure where the idea came from that farmers are really excited about "drenching" their crops with herbicide. It is regulated, you have to have specific certification to do it, you must be competent in math to figure what you are putting out per acre and how to mix it. Also, it is really expensive. In addition,…

Canola is a plant. I know this because we farm and custom harvest and cut canola in Oklahoma this year. Yes, canola is a plant.

I was wondering about this too. I am interested to hear what others have to say.

The idea is to evolve our seeds to reduce the need for pesticides and conserve water. We have adjusted our practices to meet demand. If just under half of the nation produced food as in the recent past, the need for GMO's could be reduced, though I still believe in the importance of conserving water. Now just over 1% of…

31 and improving everyday!

Thanks for all the input. I am still thinking I will finish up the bottle, not thinking I will get anymore myself, though.

I do have my levels checked. I am a vegetarian and have always been borderline anemic.

I actually don't watch Dr. Oz, it was literally, the only thing I had heard about the supplements. I go to work everyday to make a living. I was simply curious.

Well said. I don't entirely agree, we actually don't breed in or out those traits ourselves, it is done by higher education research teams. All of our seed is bought locally and most of it is grown locally and was developed by Texas A&M. Most of what we use has been around for quite awhile. Again, well said. :)
