  • Ok so questions...1. Do you just track macros and 2. Do you eat back what you gain with exercise (based upon what MFP tells you)?

  • I purchased a size 8 pair of jeans about a month ago. I wore them yesterday to a meeting and got a ton of compliments. Mind you, they are a bit stretchy and I have a small muffin top but I haven't worn a size 8 in 19 years. I have about 30 lbs to go in my journey and by my calculations, that would put me in a size 6 at…
  • I had one when I was having other surgery. They took about 2 ft of skin. I'm cut hip to hip and I do have some scars. It's been 4 years. The scars are most visible where I've had the drain. It is totally worth it though because I had the 'butt in the front' from my son. The only thing is, if you gain weight again, it does…
  • I changed my goals to 1400 but stick mostly to 1200. That way, if I go over 1200, I'm not too upset. I have found most of my favorite foods can fit into my daily calories if i plan right. It really is about the planning and having things on hand that will fit.
  • This has nothing to do with him. I think you're misconstruing things. It is about the fact we're both on this journey yet I was feeling frustrated and insignificant because of the similar weight loss. Motivation and support was this feed, right? Sometimes all we need is what I got from the first few comments.
  • BTW, the ladies are not skanks...maybe 40 years ago but most are old enough to be our moms
  • He's supportive of me. We're doing this together and we like doing our classes together. He goes different times than I do as well and now that my work is ramping up, I'll have to go whenever I can, not just when my favorite classes are scheduled. I know this is all internal. Normally I'm fine and proud. My goal is to be…
  • Thank you. I know I've lost a lot and even though I've gained and lost pretty much the same 50lbs over the past 18 years, this time my body is thinner than ever (well at least the bottom part). I also know that it is all internal, it's just frustrating some times. It's the whole, hey, you're doing it that would make it…
  • Anyone can feel free to add me. I've been on about 4 months and down almost 40lbs. i have about 35 to go. I log every day.
  • Feel free to add me. I'm active every day with logging. Down 38 lbs, looking to lose a total of 73lbs.
  • 1. Get in Normal BMI 2. Single digits/Size M (haven't fit in any since before my son was born 19 years ago) 3. Run a 5k 4. Do 50 5k's by age 50 (I'll be 42 this coming saturday and I've done 1 and have 1 in 2 weeks).
  • Bump so I can post when done!! Great pics all!
  • 5'2" and a few days from 42. SW 208.4 CW 173 GW1 150 GW2 135 I have 2 goal weights because in my post pregnancy (19 years ago), I've never been able to get below 150. I want to try to get down to "normal" and see how well I can do with that. Anyone can feel free to add me. I track every day, work out 3-5 times a week.…
  • Hello! I'm 41 from Ohio (though we lived in Ft. Myers for a year). I'm half way through my journey and still looking for more friends. Some of the ones I made here on MFP have dropped off. Anyone can add me. My diary is open. I'd like to lose about 73lbs.
  • Congrats!! In this weight loss game, it's a matter of a few days or a week where an article of clothing goes from tight to fitting to loose. One weight loss site said to get a goal (or mini goal) piece of clothing and have it hanging out. Every time you weigh in, or once a week, try it on. I haven't done that yet but I do…
  • I'm a little bit better but still getting the headaches. I broke down yesterday and took one exedrine tension headache and it worked like a charm. I no longer want to kill him but am scheduled for an MRI on Tuesday. Hopefully some answers. Doing a 2 hr Zumbathon today.
  • I was at work yesterday and kind of got tripped up. In the meantime, my shoe flew off. These are sturdy mary jane/doc martin type shoes. I had noticed my workout shoes were bugging my toes and thinking of double socking it until I can afford new shoes and then this happens!! I also tried on a pair of jeans thinking they…
  • Had 2 today 1. Went to Target to try on a size 10 jeans to be my new goal jeans. Um, they fit! At the beginning of this journey, I was a 16/18 depending upon the company. I still have some 12s that don't fit well 2. Was walking in the back at work, kind of got tripped up (because I'm graceful). My shoe flew off because my…
  • A lot of my 'fat' clothes I bought in desperation of needing work clothes. I went from an 18 and now down to most of my 12s. I did buy some dresses in April before I started this and they're starting to get loose but so far still wearable. I listed a bunch of my clothes on eBay yesterday. Hoping to make something to afford…
  • I can't add an exercise like "toning" is what I'm saying. I was looking for a comparable. I see a lot of people can post exercise from the HRM's, I didn't know if there was anything else I could do sans one
  • I am on 1400 but usually eat between 1200-1300. Feel free to add me
  • I had 5 surgeries for endometriosis and finally having a partial hysterectomy at 35. It is very important to have a good doctor that not only understands the endometriosis/pcos but pain management. I'm having issues now but have moved from my doctor and miss her dearly because she understood and no one in this area…
  • I'm amazed at the way I'm losing weight this time. It's coming off in different places. I didn't really see the changes from month to month (we take pics at the end of every month along with measurements) but this past photo shoot I got the a-ha moment that I am dropping the pounds. That has been the most impactful for me…
  • Great job!!!
  • I've been doing zumba and drums alive since July and have lost 27lbs (along with diet) and over 11 inches. I love it and most times it doesn't even feel like exercise. Our Zumba instructor is going to be adding a sculpting portion to a class so I hope to tone soon. It also is fun because you see a lot of the same people…
  • I was on it for a little over a year. I'm not sure if I had headaches but it did give me restless leg in a bad way. I had to go off of it because my insurance only paid for 6 months. I'm currently on lexapro. It helps and i was on it in the past. Cymbalta was amazing but it made my fingers numb and I ground my teeth.
  • 5'2", feel free to add me. I would like friends who are about healthy changes. my diary is open and I'm looking to lose at least another 30lbs.
  • Perkins is even worse. We travel some for business and look up a lot of our items prior to going. Our biggest issue is the sodium in everything. I know you can ask for no salt but there's no guarantee they will listen.
