I've just been using the NHS/BBC Get Inspired C25K, it tells you when to run and when to walk, so pretty much idiot proof. My fitbit maps my runs if I want it to.

Just wanted to come back and say thank you for all your useful advice. I down loaded a C25K app, and after a bit of faffing around and making excuses, I eventually went out and had a go. Loved it and I'm now just starting week 3, I can see that the way it's broken down it will gradually build my fitness and stamina. Loving…

Thanks so much, will just have to be brave and get out there, no excuses as you're all basically saying the same :) think it's just the first step out of the door which is hardest :/
-
PS: I have no shame about stopping and walking as I go :)
-
Thanks for that, will go google C25K right now.
-
:/ no wonder I was confused, seems everyone has a different view on this. Thanks for all the replies.

OK thanks. Think that answers my wondering. Start on knees/incline until strong enough to do the full proper one, which is better that doing the full on weakly ie: using arms rather than core ?
-
Oops that's a bit big. The second ones are hard and just wondered if it's cheating doing the first one on your knees or is it better than trying The second one and work harder
-
Sorry, I meant press ups like these, perhaps I got the wrong name for them
-
Sports bra for sure
-
thanks for the suggestions & yes, I'm in the UK but will have to have a scout round the internet see what I can find. Have to say love the idea of pockets :)
-
thanks, feel better now my sweaty mess now, and yes my other half makes me use a seat cover if I'm in the car so could be an idea for you Wilson  x
-
Glad it's not just me then. Wasn't sure if it was a sign that I was heading for heart attack or if I was just really effective at burning fat  I certainly wouldn't get away with a face full of makeup

Youtube is your friend, you can find everything on there. I just shut myself in the front room for an hour or so I the morning, can chop and change as the mood suits you.
-
that's good to hear, I hear people bragging about how their DOMS is worse than everyone else's, and I'm thinking it's very rare I actually suffer, I can feel I've done something if you know what I mean but that's about it and I am honestly working hard
-
Have a go at home first, I'm sure you'll fall in love with yoga ... try 'Yoga with Adriene' she has a couple of beginner videos on youtube you can try and I she will look after you <3 edited to add .. let us know how you get on x
-
36G here, and I swear by Shock Absorber level 4 ... has to be the 'classic support' for me though, have tried the others, and this one fits me best, but everyone's different so a bit of trial and error is needed. Once you find the one for you, buy loads of them cheap from eBay ;)
-
me too :D I'm just working my way through a second 30 day challenge so would love to see what others are doing x
-
Hi TheLittleFangs :D not so far from me then x
-
Yoga with Adrienne on YouTube got me started, just finished the 30 day challenge :D
-
Thank you both for the advice. I guess it's down to having the confidence to go it alone. I like the idea of making a list first, then at least I can prepare and have some sort of sequence in mind. 'don't do what hurts' excellent idea in all things I would think :D xx
-
Just finishing the Yoga with Adrienne, I'm on day 29 of the 30 day challenge. It's free on YouTube and even though I am a complete beginner I've found it really easy to follow and fun to do. x
-
:)
-
lol, this is probably how I sleep anyways, I'm a goddess who likes to hog the bed ;)
-
got to be Zumba :D
-
Shucks now I'm feeling left out, I've only got a mat and a couple of blocks ;)
-
:D I'm really new to this but can already feel it's becoming a bit of an obsession, perhaps I should stop now before it's too late .... and OMG how bendy were they!
-
Add my vote for 'Yoga with Adrienne' as well. There are enough on there to do something everyday <3
-
Glad you enjoyed your class :o Just this week sports direct got karrimor Lycra bottoms on offer, I've been and bought some large mens running bottoms and they're great no wobbles, and my top half is just a big t shirt, all is good. But to be honest no one is looking and judging anyway, they're all just doing their thing xx

:D have fun
