I usually will ask that same question but only because my mother gave someone a compliment about loosing weight to someone only to have it turned around because the person was going through chemo.

Most people on here recommend the Polar ft4 or ft7. I personally use the ft7.

My only problem with the cookie cutter diets are that a lot of them don't teach you how to eat they just teach you how to open a box and nuke food. What ends up happening frequently is someone looses a bunch of weight on the frozen food diet plans and then once they reach their goal they don't know how to make healthy food…

I like to stick to chicken breast, leaner cuts of beef & port for my protean. A lot of broccoli, green beans, corn and salad.

I weigh in every morning but because I use the scale so often I only log losses after getting the same weight 3+ days running.

Thats is what I'm working on now. I've only lost 2.5 lbs in 4 months. MFP set to 1.5 loss per week and going to gym 4-5 days a week. This bites.

That makes sense, but the reason I'm concerned is because I'm on a plateau that’s lasted almost 4 months now. In the last 4 months I’ve lost 2.5 lbs. How do you figure? The machine knows what resistance your using where the HRM does not. The HRM is just using Age, Weight, Sex and Heart rate to determine the caloric burn. Even for women it's unreliable because it doesn't allow for a bust line either. MFP doesn't look at exercise at all. The settings screen shows job types not exercise. For this reason I need to choose Sedentary even though I go to the gym 4-5 days a week. I then need to eat most of my exercise calories back.

That is exactly what I was looking for. Try to maximize my calorie consumption when I'm doing the cardio and I wanted to make sure that the incline and added resistance would be reflected in the results. Thanks for the comments all.

Most of us know someone who smoked for all of there life and didn't get cancer too, but it doesn't make it a load of crap. ;P ... I Used to eat a hard boiled egg or two every morning but lately I've been eating Lucerne Best of the Egg Whites. They are 100% Egg Whites they are low in everything.

I log fruits and veggies but I don't log in I have a single drink of milk or soda or a bite of something. I figure I'm not logging that it took me 42 seconds to climb the stairs at work 4 times a day or the walking to and from the lunch room so I'm even.

How is your caloric intake? Are you eating back the majority of your exercise calories?

My first goal weight was to lose 10% of my starting weight, which was 254lbs. I'm now 6lbs from my second goal weight of 20% of my starting weight.

The only problem with moderation is Bacon Cheese Burgers and French Fries are hard to moderate. I usually have a cheat day where I don't track but I still know how I'm doing. I go over my calorie goal but usually it's just about where I would be with out the calorie deficit. I hardly have cravings for the unhealthy food…
