Have you been properly fitted for your bike?
-
I worked out on a 10 yr old p.o.s. Schwinn from Walmart and built my endurance and strength. When I was ready to enter my first duathlon I borrowed a 25 year old Trek road bike that was waaaay to big for me. However, all those miles and hours on my piece of *kitten* bike paid off and I kicked *kitten* on that…

I live in East Vancouver by the river and 164th! Maybe we can go for a run sometime!

Definitely log your food every day whether you are over in calories or not. For me, it makes me think before I shove some other goodie into my mouth. Moderation is key & my willpower isn't the best so knowing I will be logging it stops my binges.

That's why I DU and don't TRI! Why do you torture yourselves? LOL!

I do sprint duathlons and have a tri bike. It's much better than a road bike. One suggestion...if you're sticking with sprint distances, skip those expenseive clip shoes. You'll never make up the extra time it takes putting them on in transition.

I'm 5'4" and usually bounce between 135-140 pounds. I wear size 4 jeans, 6 dresses and small shirts. Everyone is shocked when they hear my weight. However I am packed full of muscle, so I figure thats where it is. I'm not worried about what the scale says. I just want to look good and be healthy--even if that weight is…

I started with 30DS years ago and was barely able to keep up with Natalie but did the best I could., By the end of that 1st month, it was way easier. Now going back to 30DS every now and then it is just so easy. So I add more weight. Bottom line, do your best and adjust up or down when you need to. Just remember to…

I've dropped 88 pounds back in 2011 and kept it off for about 2.5 years now. I found a passion for sports and enjoy working out so it's not a chore. I've also retrained my body how to fuel itself.

I used Hal Higdon's half marathon train program to get ready for my first half in Key West! (Then I actually got to meet him at the race too! Pretty cool) You can download it for free at www.halhigdon.com You might surprise yourself and complete the whole thing! Good luck!

In addition to increasing your cardiovascular health, running builds muscle! More muscle improves your appearance! And as much as running is a "solitary" sport, there are so many social events built around running! (We have a free local Wednesday night Pub Run and its now up to over 135 participants!) Also, when I focus on…

First, I would suggest cutting out ALL soda and sweetened drinks and replace them with PLAIN WATER (no Crystal Light, no Mio!). Drink at least half your body weight in ounces per day (so if you weigh 150 pounds, drink 75 ounces of water). You will pee ALOT, you will also notice you aren't as hungry all the time, your skin…

Hi & welcome! I am a 47 year old woman. I've lost 84 pounds since changing my lifestyle in 2011. ( I have just reset my ticker as I am focusing on my last 20 pounds and didn't want to keep thinking how great I did, I want to keep working towards my new goal. Weird, I know but it keeps me motivated to keep setting new…

Nope, not out of line. Media is trying to create a story out of nothing. Everyone is so sensitive these days! Can't even throw out a compliment to a "Beauty Pagent Contestant"

My daughter insisted that I Google Christing Aguilara's age because she absolutely couldnt believe that she is younger than I am (by about 15 years too!) Guess all this exercise and good eating is paying off! :-)
-
Thanks! Definitely making these to eat during the Ohio State game this weekend! :-)
-
That's how I did it. Cut out the junk, counted calories and exercised my *kitten* off!! Don't jump on the bandwagon of the latest quick weight loss gimmick. If you want to keep it off for good, you need to retrain yourself how and when to eat.

If you are hungry EAT, if you are not DONT! Listen to your body, its smarter than the website.

Fun! You look like you are ready to burst out laughing!

I just like giraffes added my zip code

Thumbs up for PDA! :-)

First time doing the 30DS I was 208 (ish). I did it 30 days straight, 10 days each level. I didn't follow any special diet, other than count my calories (and cut out crap) and I didn't do any additional exercise. Just The Shred. I lost 14.5 pounds and 8.75 inches. Its great! It is hard, but it is only for 20 minutes so…

I have hamstring issues too. Make sure your running shoes are in good shape & get fitted for a decent pair at a run shop. Strengthening your core and stretching will help. (I found lying on floor crossing one leg over the other and pulling up my straight leg was an awesome stretch that really hit the right spot) If it…

On the jetway boarding our connecting flight to Portland Oregon after sitting in Houston for 8 hours (we missed the earlier connection). I told my kids to smile as I snapped a shot to text to my brother -- proof we were actually leaving. Kids didn't hear the "smile" part I guess. They are amusing!

exactly. I even log Nyquil! Lots of calories in a single dose!
