  • I started the 21 Day Fix on Monday & I love it so far! Monday was my day off at work so I meal prepped all day and I'm not going to lie, it was a little intimidating at first! But I've stuck with it so far & can already tell I am getting good results (refusing to weigh/measure till the end). The containers for the meal…
  • I just bought one & am going to use it for the first time tonight!! This thread has made my day because I'm so excited about trying it! ha ha!
  • After almost hitting my goal weight/body I got pregnant with my 3rd baby & am now 9 months postpartum. I am really struggling to get restarted & have about 30-40lbs I want to lose. I also have a sluggish thyroid (hashimotos) so I avoid gluten because of it. I am also dairy & soy free due to allergy. I am also trying to get…
  • I am 23 weeks with my 3rd baby...a surprise! I had a terrible pregnancy with my 2nd (high blood pressure, gestational diabetes, bed rest) & this pregnancy has been wonderful so far. Mostly, I think because I lost almost 50lbs & got my health under control before this happened!! :) I was exercising every night & lately I've…
  • I am also a daily MFP logger. I have a lot of active friends, but not a lot of interactive friends. I have lost 48lbs. over the course of 2 years. I started with high intensity cardio training & found that strength training is what actually works for me to lose weight. So I am trying to do a good mix of both. I am…
  • Today is my Insanity "rest" day so I'm going to do Les Mills Pump!!
  • I just had dinner leftovers...stuffed pepper (made with ground turkey, quinoa & no cheese) & mashed cauliflower.
  • I tried insanity as the first workout I ever did when I started working out. I failed...just couldn't do it as I wasn't at the level of fitness I felt I needed to be. Now that I lost 40+ pounds I felt like I could do it again. So I restarted & my first week I hated it. It was nothing like the other programs I had done. Now…
  • I am in my 2nd week!!! =)
  • For logging search for kickboxing in the cardio section & there is an entry for Kickboxing (including Turbo Jam). That is what I have used. If you have a HRM you can add the workout yourself with the amount of calories you burned. Good luck...Turbo Fire is awesome!!!
  • This is an amazing story. There are simply no words. Congratulations on your success!
  • Day #4 today! I'm already on a countdown to the end...this is the hardest thing I have ever done!! So far every night I am picking myself up off the floor at the end & today my calves are killing me! BUT I'm committed & hoping for good results!!
  • I currently use a protein shake (I use a vegan one because I am dairy intolerant) 2x per day for additional protein. The shake I use has 26g of protein per scoop. I also have eggs in the morning and I eat a wide variety of veggies and lean protein for lunch and dinner. The advice given to me was to get my carbs from the…
  • Awesome!! Way to stick with it! I did Fire 55 last night...I love it...just makes me feel so good! My favorite is Fire 45!! =) Definitely eat lots of fruits and veggies and protein! I liked and made a lot of the recipes that came with the program. In fact I make a similiar egg scramble for breakfast every morning. You…
  • Good job on your accomplishment so far in Turbo Fire! I got TF last Christmas and did the 90 day program and now incorporate it into my workouts weekly! I LOVE TF!!! Keep up the good work!! =)
  • In the past I worked out on a vibplate once per week with a trainer at my dr.'s office. I used it as additional training not my main exercise regimen and my trainer had me doing a lot of strength training exercises on it with resistance bands. It made me energized for the day; however, I can not gauge how it contributed to…
  • Good luck as you restart your journey!!
  • I'm not sure about that; however, I replaced IP foods with a high protein/low carb vegan shake. I had a terrible reaction to the IP foods due to the milk in most of them. I am still following the protocol; however, I purchased my own shake and use that instead of any IP foods.
  • Major Fatigue Slow to lose weight Eyebrows - they don't grow all the way & grow very random!
  • I love cabbage & I am making this tonight as I type this! Can't wait to try it!!
  • I enjoy tracking here on MFP because I love looking at my daily wheel and seeing my percentages of protein, carbs and fat. It is extra motivation for me! Monday is my 1 week weigh in as well. Good luck to both of us! Also, once you add your veggies & meat, the next time you eat the same ones it should be much easier to…
  • I am on day #2! I've lost just over 30lbs with exercise and my own eating plan; however, I've been at a plateau from almost any weight loss since the end of July. Losing weight for me seems to be a long battle due to medical issues, etc. My sister is still in phase 1 of IP & has lost 50lbs. She got me started on IP. I am…
  • I love salsa too but since I watch white carbs & corn, etc. I bought Beanitos bean chips which doesn't make me feel so guilty eating them with my salsa. They have one with black beans and even have one with flax seeds. They are high fiber & decent protein as well. They don't quite taste the same but I'd rather eat more…
  • I'm sure you could!!
  • Vegan Pumpkin Bread 14oz can unsweetened pumpkin puree 2 cups sugar 1/4 cup oil 3/4 cup applesauce 3 TBS ground flax seed/9 TBS warm water 3 cups flour (I used gluten free) 1 tsp cloves 1 tsp cinnamon 1 tsp nutmeg 1 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt Preheat oven to 350. Lightly oil two, 9 inch loaf pans.…
  • My sister in law lost 50lbs using Ideal Protein and is a huge advocate for it. I'm going to a seminar about it on Thursday night because I am considering doing it to drop my last 30lbs. I've been struggling with a 2 1/2 month plateau. Even though I am already eating high protein according to my food wheel, I think the set…
  • I think it really depends on the person and their body type/structure/health history. I have always been the type of person/had the type of body that required both exercise & healthy eating in order for me to lose weight. Are you able to do home workout videos? I have never had a gym membership & rely only on home videos…
  • I totally clicked on this message because you put Jay Z in my head by saying "allow me to re-introduce myself"...now I will feel the need to listen to Jay Z, as it is stuck in my head now! lol! I am been committed to MFP for 360 days (as of today) & my overall goal is to lose 60lbs and have reached my halfway goal now. I…
  • Congrats! This is a fabulous success story & you look amazing. I love your prospective about your journey & love that you said this: In five years it won't matter how long it took you; all that will matter is that you made lasting changes that you can live with. Thanks for being an inspiration!!
