I would just work out during your work week (30 minutes or so each day) and leave your one day off as a rest day unless it's an activity you want to do.

Certain types of HIIT give me as much of a "high" as running. Might be worth a try.

2nd tree in man cave. Decorate at will. Hope the man cave has a door.

I looked into this once, and realized that it is pretty difficult to get 100% of the RDA of iron with an average unfortified diet, even one that includes a generous amount of red meat. My bloodwork is always fine on iron so I figure I must be getting enough. Meat has the heme type, which is better absorbed than the…

I find their single serving nut mixes to be handy. Enjoy the bigger and more varied frozen seafood section than a lot of stores. Easy to make frozen meals in a bag (Orange Chicken, Teriyaki Chicken, etc.) that don't have a lot of junky ingredients. Their Tarte d' Alsace and Tarte Aux Champignons (like very thin pizzas but…

I cannot believe how cheap some of you all get cauliflower!! Runs about $4-7 here.

fitnessblender.com has a ton of free workouts and you can choose what level you want

Have you had a full workup? Thyroid problems are a common cause of reduced metabolism. Any changes in your day to day activities? On a busy day, fitbit tells me I burn a surprising amount through my non-exercise activities compared with the sit in front of the computer days. If the balance changes toward more sitting due…

If possible, I would go back to the eating schedule that was working for you. Meal timing and frequency are usually a matter of personal preference.

Lock the door, put on your headphones with music that has a beat you can feel in your bones (unless you are able to just blast it for real) and then start moving to the beat. I like techno or music I have an emotional connection with from happier times for this purpose. Kick, twirl, punch, jump, wriggle, shake out the…

Ugh. This is the first time I've been able to log in in almost two days. I cannot keep up with the challenge at this time. Add me to the horde!

If the particular BMI calculator I am using that day lets me enter the weight to the 1/2 inch, I do so (some do, some don't). I am shooting for the middle of the range, so it doesn't really matter (however, I'm short so just on principle I take that 1/2 inch whenever I can!)

Drinking calories is a pretty easy way to get them down. There are some pretty eye-poppingly calorific (but healthy) protein shake and smoothie recipes out there.

1. Be retrospective like Carol : talk to your team about a fire in your life or smoke you saw that "consumed" you and made you rise like a phoenix from the ashes in a new direction, especially if this story relates to health and fitness like a sport's injury or regaining weight you had lost. I had some serious…

I had a LOT left to get done today for exercise, but I powered through and hopefully I will have it together better next week.

I do exercise classes. I see things, things that make me feel very happy I wear underwear under my workout clothes. If your yoga pants split while you are in down dog, you and everyone else around you will be happy it's just your underwear showing. If your yoga pants are surprisingly see-through when stretched and you…

That happened to me once when my husband and I were losing at the same time. I think it is because I don't start changing shape until I hit a certain weight, I just look like a slighter smaller version of the same apple. My husband lost from his face and gut so it was more obvious sooner. Eventually you will get to the…

The thing about spin classes is that you can choose your own level. The instructor may say to set it at 16 and keep it at 100 rpms, but if you need to set it at 12 to keep it to 100 rpms, nobody is stopping you. The room is dark, everyone is focusing on their own workout. When I needed to go lower than the instructor said,…

There are programs that will start you off slower but still get you to the 5K. This one is a 28 week program. http://www.beginnertriathlete.com/cms/article-detail.asp?articleid=27

I feel this way often. My internet just HAS to go out right when I have everything set up to workout (I use fitnessblender) and it makes me so.very.grumpy. But really, I'm like this with a lot of things, not just working out. When I have a plan I want to execute it, not mess around resetting modems or answering the phone…

Sorry about that, fruitylicious03. I thought your self-control looked like a fruit snack and I ate it. :#

$90 a month for a family membership. Not cheap, but it's close by and has what I need including classes, pool, and lots of kid classes/sports/camps.

Google image search of this model is NSFW. She is obviously verrrrry comfortable with her "plus-sizedness". :o

I would override the fitbit estimate with one that is more accurate for the workout you did (50-75% of the MFP estimate, perhaps?) I find it much easier to do intense workouts if I properly fuel them and 154 calories does not sound right at all for an hour of bootcamp.

I have tried this before and it just doesn't work for me, at least not for long. The only lasting aversion I have ever gotten was the last thing I ate before I came down with a stomach bug. Even that went away after a while. The only thing eating until sick did successfully was contribute to about 30 pounds regained due to…

I've noticed this as well. Sometimes it's just a total slog at first but if I push through for 10-15 minutes something clicks and I get more energy and feel much better. It is definitely a mind game though to get through those first dead on my feet minutes.
-
I think that the feeling will lessen over time as you find that you can eat limited amounts of takeout and still meet your weight loss goals.

A lot of truth in what she wrote.

My first guess would be too much parsley. I would knock that out once and see if it makes any difference.
