  • Ok I could use some new ideas to jump start everything. I had to take a few weeks off due to an injury. Not exercising has led me to eat terribly. I am really tired of the same old food! I need something to liven up my taste buds! Especially breakfast. I could really use some other ideas for breakfast. Well actually all…
  • I LOVE SOY!!!! Ok well I tolerate soy anyway! It has help me to loose 50 lb of fat while also gaining lean muscle. My husband on the other hand hates soy. We are both vegetarians and both have different eating habits. Soy is very beneficial to health but cannot be used as your only protein source. I would choose soy over…
  • That is the amount of protein for very active exercise. When I lost my first 50lb I was eating about 50-60g protein per day and that was very sufficient. They should be lean protein sources such as vegetable proteins such as soy protein.
  • The point it to have lots of veggies very little pasta and sauce. It was very good restaurant taste with out 800 calories. Grilled veggies Marinara 3 Portabella Mushroom caps sliced 1/2 Zuccini sliced 1/4 green bell pepper 1/4 red bell pepper 1/4 red onion or any other veggies you prefer. oregano to taste basil to taste 1…

  • I also increase my protein intake to loose weight. It is the only way my body lets go of the fat. 1) eat 20 grams soy protein per day plus 15-20g other lean protein sources 2) increase fiber 3) take vitamins, B-150, C-1000mg, Multi vitamin I do not do the low carb thing I thank that is a waste of effort and time. Most…
  • I use soy protein powder. I use EAS brand but it has a lot of sugar. I am trying to find one with less sugar. It is a shake. I have also used plain soy protein powder in smoothies and baked goods.

  • This morning I felt different when I woke up. I felt thinner, more toned. Then I looked in the mirror! At first glance I thought "Wow I look good" my waist looks so trim. Then my eyes glanced down to my hips, butt, and thighs. Instantly the thoughts went to " gross my but is still huge!" Anyone to the point where they like…
  • I posted a similar thread a few months ago only got one response. I have been a vegetarian for 20 years. I too struggle a bit with carbs and dieting. I am really trying to eat well and loose weight. I lost 50lb 2 years ago and kept it off till a long illness helped me gain 20 back. I have a few things that I do that seem…
  • I used to be a stager for model homes. I have a lot of experience in this area. The color of the furniture I am assuming is more orange in color. That will be hard to decorate around. I would suggest earth tones. A medium sage green or medium muted blue would look nice on the wall. You want to stick with colors that…
  • I lost all my weight while nursing my last child. I ate about 2400 cals per day when not exercising and 3000 when I exercised. I also ate over 20 g of lean protein per day but now I found out I should have been eating 35-45g protein per day. All my proteins were vegetable derived but my sister also lost weight while…
  • I am 5'10" trying to get from 160lb to 145lb. I have been eating 1200 + 300 exercise cals per day. I have only been loosing on average 1lb per week and I should be loosing more. I am going to try upping my cals for the week and see what happens. Thanks for posting this thread!
  • I have found that even if I eat more than 1200 cals a day I only loose when I eat 40g or more of lean proteins. I can eat only 1200 cals and not loose weight. I then eat 1500+ and eat alot of lean proteins and the weight melts off.
  • You can do it!! There is a lot of support here. Find what will work for you. Don't give up! I gained 60 pounds with each of my 4 pregnancies. It was so hard to know what to do to loose it. I kept about 40 pounds of weight for 7 years till I decided I had to loose weight after having my 4th child. I did a lot of research on…
  • Hey everyone I would love to join you! I lost 50 pounds and kept it off for 2 years. A few pounds have crept back on during an illness that lasted for 8 months. I have lost 8 pounds and have 15-20 more to loose. I am a vegetarian, haven't eaten meat for 22 years. I love clean foods but I admit I love nonfat yogurt which is…
  • I do not work as you do, but I have some info. Only exercise or activities above your daily routine should be counted. Also If you go back into your…

  • I have the same problem I have 398 to eat and I am full. It has been the same 3 days in a row I have eaten 300 plus cals than suggested. I couldn't bring myself to eat any more.
  • if you are exercising it is typical to gain before loosing. Your body will retain water to prevent dehydration. When your body gets used to the exercise it will release excess water you don't need and the weight will come off.Keep going it will get better. I lost 60 lbs 2 years ago and It was very slow 2lb per week. I…
  • I keep going over on my protein daily count. I am a vegetarian and eat a lot of soy which is full of protein. I am wondering if going over on the protein and under on the calories will even things up a bit. Or is it ok to go over on the proteins as long as they are skinny proteins such as soy?
