I did lightly active, but I'm sure I need to adjust it. So, I should be eating 1700 plus my exercise calories?

BMR is 1373 and I'm not sure what TDEE is? 1574?

Ok maybe you guys can help me... I just increased my cals from 1200 to 1450 3 weeks ago. (I only have 10 lbs to lose :) I have noticed a small difference! But not a whole lot. I have a hectic schedule due to 12 hr nursing clinicals and 12 hr work shifts, so I only am able to work out 3-4 days a week for 30 minutes, and I…

Ok, thanks yall!!

And YES, ALL birth control has the SAME risks! Such as blood clots, and period alterations. I mean, people, its a HORMONE and we have to remember that hormones effect everyone differently, and there is NO PILL that doesn't have risks associated with it. So, do what works for YOUR body :)

I have been on YAZ for 4 years now, and its never interfered with my weight. I've been on it when I was 110 lbs, I've been on it when I was 124. It all depends on what works for you! Its actually my favorite birth control, and I had tried orthotricyclin low and loestrin, and I like YAZ the best. It also helps with my acne!

I use whole oats, add hot water, add some berries, stevia, and hemp :flowerforyou:

Ok, so far just in the past week I've increased my calories from 1240 to 1450. Already I feel my energy level has gone up! I still havent gone on the scale, just because I want to give it a couple of weeks for my body to adjust to the calorie increase. I also started doing insanity workouts again, not just boring running…

Definitely eat back the calories. If not, your body will burn the muscle, and not the fat :)

So far this week I've changed my workout habits. Rather than sticking to just cardio mostly, I've been doing circuit training and BOY have I been SORE!! I noticed little things are changing but nothing big since its only been a week. Also I increased my cals by a couple hundred, so now I'm at 1400/day. And I at least TRY…
-
Yes, I would eat them back. I definitely couldnt function if not hehe
-
I should have realized this beforehand! i'm increasing my calories a bit, rather than losing 1lb/week, losing 0.5/week and we'll see how it goes
-
I've been eating 1240 cals/day for a long time and it just doesn't seem to work. So I'm increasing my calories!
-
I'm doing the same!

I usually drink each weekend, not a whole lot but say 4 drinks on friday and saturday night. This weekend I decided not to drink at all. Lets just say I feel much better AND I lost 2 lbs!!! Which usually doesn't happen after the weekend. Yes, it kind of sucks cutting it out, but I think if you stick to it your body will…

Bump! I'm thinking about increasing my calories as well, from 1240 to maybe 1400 or so. I'm 5'3, weigh 124, and would like to get back down to 114 where I was two years ago. The scale has not dropped in a while. So I'm anxious to hear what others say! :)
-
I am not so concerned over the number on the scale. But when I was 114, I looked great. If I were in a bikini today, I would have the belly flab, arm flab, and chin flab (haha). That is just how 124 looks on me. I've always been active, and exercised. I work out about 4 days a week. I really can't work out any more than…
-
Yes, because I gained the weight when I started nursing school and have tried to get back down to where I was before at 114. The weight doesn't seem to budge and yes I am unhappy with my composition.
-
Exactly! The only thing I've noticed different is no urge to snack, which is where my problem is. I generally don't believe in diet pills either, but I had a friend who tried these. These are just once a day, and I'm still able to sleep soundly. Since there are no harmful side effects so far, I'm going to continue. I'm…

Well... I have started them and am on day 4. It may or may not help me lose the weight, but I do feel great! I have an increase in energy levels and feel clear-headed. I have to say I have tried some other things and the side effects were too much to bear. But with this, I have no headaches, nausea, or mood changes! I'll…

I have :( been at this same weight for a year now.
-
Its because its a Chinese supplement, its not very well known in the US.
-
So has anyone in this thread been losing weight? I've been going strong for weeks and still not 1 lb has dropped! :(
-
The problem with getting up early in the am is that I'm already waking up at 5am to be at work/clinical at 6:45am (nursing). So if I get up earlier than that it'd have to be 4am and I just dont see myself doing that, haha.
-
I agree with everyone... drink like 2 glasses of water, and eat high protein greek yogurt, or a tblsp natural peanut butter on toast or celery. Also I drink this "blueberry slim green tea" and it helps curb my appetite when i'm feeling "snacky"
-
hey girl!! I DEFINITELY understand where you are coming from, with the school and unhealthy food thing! But something you will just HAVE to do... pack all your meals the night before. It is a pain in the butt! I am in nursing school, and work at a hospital. some days, i'm gone form the house 12+ hours!! last night after a…

Something great for that sugar craving in the am... I start my day off with 1/2 cup of 100% oats, put some cinnamon, and 1/2 tbsp of butter (it will get you some extra cals too and fat you need). its sooo yummy and gets me going! like a cinnamon/oatmeal cookie! I also eat it with 1/2 cup egg whites sometimes and/or 1/2 cup…

in nursing school, so i have 12-hr clinicals, and also working 12-hr shifts as a tech. i am so hungry when i work! i guess because i'm burning so many cals running around the floor! i usually have to eat every 2 hours, especially to stay on top of my game :)
