I celebrated with a chocolate donut this morning! I ran 9 miles first, so I had more than enough calories to fit it in, and may just have another one later! :D

That's fantastic! Great work!!!

To motivate myself to get up and workout early it helps to have others who are counting on me to be there. I meet my running group 3-4 days per week for a group run at about 4:30 a.m. and go to a 5:30 barre class on the days I don't run early in the morning. Maybe you could find a running group or a class- bootcamp,…

For running- Nike and North Face leggings. For barre- Beyond Yoga or Alo.

Bless her heart! I ran 18 on Saturday and only dropped two pounds (of course it came right back after I rehydrated!) I would just say, "That's great!" and then move on. No sense in squashing her enthusiasm or entering into a debate over something that isn't hurting anyone.

What @Go_Deskercise said. Fortunately, so many of our awesome local beers seem to be in MFP these days!

OP you look amazing! What an awesome transformation! Also, I am OBSESSED with barre! Congrats on your progress!

Many people in my family are overweight or obese, as well as some of my close friends. When I proudly told my mom back in March that I had lost 18 pounds since the first of the year she looked at me like I was crazy and said, "But you don't need to lose 18 pounds." I told her I didn't need to lose 18 pounds anymore because…

I commute about three hours a day and agree with others that preparation is key, and if I don't get my workout in early it's probably not going to happen. Most mornings I wake up at 4:15 and leave the house to workout with my work clothes in one bag, breakfast and lunch in another, and often another bag packed with clothes…

I feel your pain on that long commute! Mine is about 30 miles, roughly an hour and a half on a good day in Atlanta traffic. Breakfast is usually a banana before my workout and an RxBar afterward because both are easy to eat in the car while I'm commuting. There are plenty of easy and quick options, you just have to get…

Good luck to you, OP. I completed a Whole30 this January, and while I can't say that I buy a lot of the "science" in the book about why you should do Whole30, I really suck at self-moderating what and how much I eat (especially coming off of the holidays), so I found that having some clear direction on what to eat helped…

Yes! This thread has made my day! :D

Scrambled eggs with Texas Pete Hot Sauce- I could eat it every day! Waffle House doesn't have Texas Pete, so I have to sub in Tabasco there, but Texas Pete is definitely far superior IMHO!

How was spin class? Those classes always kick my butt!

I use an Apple Watch and use the HR monitor, and it has an option to select barre as your workout. If you go to a lot of classes, your experience is probably similar to mine- there are some classes where I feel like I really got a good burn in (lots of shaking and sweating!), and some I don't feel I got as much out of. For…

I'm up at 4:15 Monday-Friday to either go to a class (Pure Barre is my workout of choice) or run a few miles before work. It definitely takes time to get into the routine and it can be tough to get back on the routine if you take several days off, but once I get over the initial "OMG it's so early" shock I'm glad I did it!…

I agree with what has already been said regarding easing into it, pavement is harder than treadmill, etc. I will add that fuel is also important. If I'm not getting enough carbs in, particularly the day before a longer run, my legs tend to feel heavy and the run is much tougher. This may not be the root of your issue, but…

Thanks for the suggestions! The price is steep, but they are so good that I'll just have to stomach it. It would be nice to be able to buy bigger boxes of them because I eat one pretty much every day!

Ria's Roadkill Jerky! So delicious! It's not available in stores, but you can find it on Etsy.

I go to barre 5 or 6 days a week and run about 4 days a week or so. It usually works out to one day off per week (I double up some days). I've found that what works for me is not having a hard set schedule. If I'm sore and don't feel up to it, I just take a day off. No big deal. If you want to try barre, I'd say take…

I did Whole30 in January for the third time and this was my best experience yet. There were a few reasons that I did it. During the fall and into the holidays my consumption of junk and alcohol had really gotten out of hand. I felt like I was beyond the point of saying I needed to enjoy those things in moderation, and that…

In, please!

Do you use a watch with a HR monitor? I used to just enter it in manually at take a wild guess, but when my Garmin running watch died I decided to go with a watch with a HR monitor so that I could get a better idea about calorie burn. A typical Pure Barre class for me can run anywhere from 300-450 calories, depending on…

Mine is open, but I'm just getting back on track with consistently logging. You won't find much there yet, but I'm working on it!

This is one area where I struggle. I'll be really good about getting my water in for days and weeks at a time, then just a couple of days without intentionally drinking it throws me off. I will definitely be working on this over the next three months!
-
Yes! The chart is awesome! Thanks for putting it together!

I usually go to bed around 10. Most days I grab a quick power nap during lunch!

I'm also not a morning person, but I work full time so early mornings are the only time I can really get my workout in without taking time away from my family. For me the key is having partners to workout with. M,W,Th I wake up at 4:15 to get everything prepped for work and then make it to my 5:30 barre class. I schedule…

Oh my goodness! I could have posted this myself. I did pretty well during the week, but was not so great over the weekend and didn't keep up with my logging. In my mind, if I don't log something on MFP those calories never happened! Clearly that approach isn't working for me! I did have a loss, but not what it usually is…

Am I the only one that just stocked up on Girl Scout cookies? Actually, I only bought a couple of boxes, but my hubby bought like five boxes! He's not a cookie fan, but he's a sucker for kids selling stuff. At any rate, my win today was limiting myself to three Trefoils this afternoon instead of a whole sleeve. Definitely…
