At 327 lbs and 31 years old, I found myself needing a motorized cart in Walmart. At 168 lbs and 39 years old, I am a barre fitness instructor with the best body that I have ever had.....ever! I’m lighter and smaller than I was in the 6th grade! This transformation is 8 years in the making. I had a lap band, lost, gained, lost, gained, got my band removed and converted to a sleeve and kicked up my workouts to 10-12 hours per week. I eat low carb and pretty strict most days. I’m just getting back into logging because I’m just not losing lately. I had skin removal surgery in January! Ask me anything!

Awesome job I have lost 157 pounds. Went from 5'6 360 to 204. I really have lots of skin. Did u get surgery on arms tummy thighs breast? I don't have the money for surgery and my emotions about it are taking from my successes. How did you pay for your surgery? Any advice if insurance pays for skin surgery? Or how I can get help in some way to pay for it? Please and thank you. I do know I have at least another 30 pounds before I think about it but it's effecting me now.

Thank you so much! When I look at my journey as compared to what so many others are going through, it seems so small and minuscule in comparison. I try to keep going to help others!2 -

First of all WOW! You look amazing! I bet you feel even better! I have seen insurance cover some tummy tucks based on sores under the skin. I had a arms with jplasty (braline skin) and lower body lift with butt augmentation (with my own skin!) it was right at 24K, out of pocket. My doctor was quite a bit more expensive than most because of his level of expertise. I know that even my doctor does insurance covered surgeries, I just don’t have insurance that covers it.
There is a plastic surgery “credit card” called CareCredit. They do 0% financing for some surgeries and low percentage rates for others. Do your research!! I look at shows like “Skin Tight” and while they look great, I would never have picked most of those doctors. I’m in San Antonio so I have only researched my area. Look in various forums for recommendations for doctors in your area. Keep up the good work! And Old Navy compression workout leggings are wonderful for holding in skin. They have high waist super compression and they aren’t too bad price wise!3 -

Thank you! And it takes time and long term dedication. That is a common misconception with weight loss surgery. There is still a ton of work involved, especially to keep it off after the first year!2 -
