  • If your fitbit and MFP accounts are synced then when you enter your workout into MFP it subtracts the extra fitbit calories. So if you wear your fitbit all day and while working out and you enter a workout that burns 300 calories it will just subtract those 300 calories from your fitbit adjusted number. A lot of it is…
  • If you live on campus put the candy and snackwell out in the kitchen with a note saying free to good home. They shouldn't last long.
  • I use old jars for tons of things. Travel cup, pencil holder, dry goods storage, cotton ball or q-tip holder, drinking glass, flower vase, leftover storage, freezer storage, cold pack for cooler. I always put rice, beans, lentils, popcorn, cereals, etc in the jars so they are stored tight and you can see how much you have…
  • Years ago I was diagnosed as bipolar with anxiety and was heavily medicated. Was also on birth control. With all the meds I was on I was nearly non-functioning. Since I've been off ALL medications I've found that the birth control pill was probably what was causing my emotional roller coaster to begin with. I'm not trying…
  • You can keep the shape and lose the size by keeping the muscles strong and tone and losing the fat. And genetics are a huge factor. If your genetics call for a big butt you will probably always have it even if you slim down.
  • It's true that the numbers mean nothing. When I was 120 lbs I wore a 6 less than 10 years ago and I'm still wearing a "6" today even though I've gained almost 20 lbs. I'm 5'3" and have a 30 inch waist.
  • Bank customer opened a new checking account 5 p.m. friday before a holiday weekend. Came in the following Tuesday complaining he hadn't received his checks yet. His account hadn't even been uploaded into the system yet.
  • Did you even consider red heads before you said that? We can be quite saucy.
  • When I lost weight in the past I just went back to eating the way I had before and the weight came right back on. It's that fine line between eating for maintenance and eating to gain. Always been a problem for me.
  • I'd always choose nan and pop because you don't know how much longer you will have them. Your bestie should be around a long time for you to spend time with. I always regretted not spending more time with my grandmothers before they died.
  • I thought I was in ok shape because I'd been working out regularly until I hired a trainer. Even after a month I am still sore after almost every session for 2 days, then it's time for the next session. I'm hoping that with time it won't be so bad but I know she will be pushing me harder the stronger and more fit I get,…
  • My family is a lot like that. They are mostly unhealthy and overweight and when I put on a few pounds they are all excited and when I try to regain control and take the weight off they are discouraging and tell me it's inevitable because of my genetics. So far I'm proving them wrong. But it's the same if I eat a lot they…
  • My sister told me she had a similar problem and said it was Plantar Fasciaitis. I don't know what any solutions may be but it's something you could look up. I get foot cramps if I hit a workout too hard without warming up my feet enough first. But never just at night.
  • I do love the white chocolate mocha's as a treat at Starbuck's every so often. Personally I just love black coffee. Once I tried it black I'm rarely tempted to get the fancy stuff. But I bet a plain hot cocoa would probably cut your calories in half from the white chocolate mocha's. Maybe something to look at.
  • I'm 5'3" currently at 138, down from 142. Goal is 125-130. I'm 33 years old with a small bone structure but I like how I look with curves and don't want to lose my boobs.Last time I was below 125 I was running A LOT and barely eating. Now I'm really trying to get my portions under control, minimize bread, and not eat at…
  • I am 5'3" and my long term goal is 125-130. I am also 33 years old and find it really does get harder the older I get. Highest weight for me on my home scale was 142, yesterday was 138 so I am making progress. I have a small build but don't want to starve myself to get below 125, I already know how hard that would be to…
  • It's more difficult to notice on your own body because you see yourself every day so the progress seems slow. If you are buying smaller pants you are obviously losing weight. A size 6 is a reasonable goal. If your goal was a size 00 then that would be a problem.
  • If you are watching Dr Who then it is worth sitting on the couch a little bit. Just not 8 hours at a time like I tend to do. My easiest things to get off my butt are just to clean or walk. I'm also in school and my job is active so my workouts are sometime built in. You will figure out what works for you if you give it…
  • I've had the same issue the last few months with the extra stress from going back to school. My sleep patterns are all over the place and my body is completely confused. It could be a lot of different things. Maybe should see a doctor in case it is a real problem if you miss again. I know this doesn't help but I understand…
  • I would also say at the smallest part of your waistline. Unless you are measuring to find clothes that will fit where your belt lays. Honestly I've always had the same problem trying to figure this one out.
  • Men and women deal with different issues when losing weight, specifically emotionally, but also phisiologically. I wouldn't think it is a jealousy issue or a general hate of men. More of a relevance preference.
  • This is one of my biggest problems in trying to lose weight. I have a busy stressful day and I eat enough food for 3 days. The best outlet I've found is finding something else productive to do to take my mind off the stress. Like going to the gym or even just folding laundry or finishing an assignment to "complete a task"…
  • You look at yourself every day so your mind has adjusted to every pound you've lost. I can really see the difference in the photos you posted.
  • If you are tall that will make a lot of difference also. Or if you've cut your sodium and are not retaining as much water it wouldn't be as obvious with how your clothes fit.
  • Secret Window was good and I liked that they changed the ending. Otherwise most Stephen King books stink as movies unless they change a lot about them like The Shining.
  • I have been through the same thing. When I really try to focus and work out and have a set plan I end up gaining weight but when I don't think about it the weight comes off faster. I'm the heaviest I've ever been and since I've been trying to lose weight again this year I've gained 12 lbs while going to the gym 3-4 days a…
