  • Yes it does, but its nondescript. It just counts the loss, not how you are losing the calories.
  • I have a fitbit as of a couple of days ago. What's really good about this thing is it counts all calories burned...not just activities, but calories burned when idle. Also the website (after you set up and give details etc like here) gives you a general idea of how many calories you should aim for during the day, and it…
  • Its not really a weight loss TV show per se, but The Doctors is great for all sorts of advice and a lot of the time they have tips on improving your diet and losing weight. Its really the only show like that I watch to be honest, but I do listen to them and take their advice to heart.
  • Well how much is a standard healthy size portion of pasta? I'm clearly eating too much of it and underestimating the weight and or calories.
  • Is it really a fraction of a teaspoon? I had no idea. To be honest I was just guessing. Well either way, the amount I have wouldn't impact the calories too much I don't think. What would half a dessert spoons worth be then? And how much in grams should my pasta be for one portion?
  • Yeah I am gaining weight even though I'm under calories. I think I may be overdoing it on the pasta so I'm now looking for alternatives I can have instead.
  • It's actually that I've been pushing myself. But I know where my limit is and where I have to go to get to my 500 calorie target. It just so happens that I have to push myself a little bit harder than normal to get to 500. And it happens to cause a twinge or two right at the end. But when Ive got to that number I relax for…
  • Well I can't swim but I will talk to my GP about this back pain issue on the next checkup in a couple of weeks time for sure. And my back is only bad if I overdo things. Then I get twinges. But I'm usually alright if I don't do anything hugely strenuous. But the problem is that I have to lose 500 calories a day and that…
  • Well I'm keeping my feet on the ground, but I wouldn't exactly call it low impact as I tend to work up quite a sweat. Way more so than when I go for my walks (which last for 40mins or so and burn around 300cals). And Aerobic step doesn't really sound right as I'm neither stepping nor using a step. Edited to add that I feel…
  • I know, I understood your last post. Since I aim for 4 cups a day, that would mean I would only be getting 31 calories burned drinking cold water. And even less with warm water.
  • Well 62 is significant enough for me. Although by your calculations since I'm only aiming for 4 cups (or 1ltr), I'd only be burning 31 calories a day just doing that. So yeah it actually doesn't really matter.
  • What;s pants filtered? And of course I'm not trolling. Warm v Cold is a perfectly legitimate question (albeit one I might not have thought of had our fridge not broke) I also find I can drink warm water faster, but I'll happily drink it warm or cold.
  • I know its gross (and I apologize in advance), but I'm speaking from experience here and it sounds as if you may have a fungal infection. If it stings like crazy when you move around and if there is discoloration on your thighs or thereabouts, then that's probably it. So you may wanna go see your doctor and get it checked…
  • Ok. Will do. Can't wait for tomorrow lunchtime now! :-D And I don't think honey and peanut butter would work very well. lol
  • Think I'll stick to losing half a pound a week. Its far more doable for me to burn 250-300 calories a day than twice that to be honest.
  • Was never a fan of bacon anyway, but the peanut butter sounds intriguing. I really wouldn't have thought of that combination but it seems the norm here. So I definitely have to try it for myself. lol A couple of things I'm wondering though 1. Mashed or sliced? and 2. Butter spread or no butter spread?
  • Was thinking of using a butter spread as well, but would that be a faux pas?
  • Peanut butter.....really!? I wouldn't have thought so but will definitely try it out since you all seem to like it. lol
  • Ok, I've ordered. A 12 inch, thin crust pizza with mushrooms, chicken and onions (and I asked for spinach even though it wasn't one of the options just in case they could).
  • Well if you go to letseatin dot com, you can see exactly what they have.
  • Not very nutritional though. And Letseatin don't do fish and chips. They do Chinese, Indian, Thai, Italian and Pizzas though.
  • Hmm...i don't think they do spinach but I'm pretty sure they do chicken as a topping. And there isn't a Subway anywhere near here. I know there's at least one somewhere in Dublin though.
  • Lots of great advice there guys. But to answer some of your questions/remarks 1. I have started as of last night to drink more water 2. I'm from Ireland (dunno why you thought Denmark. lol) 3. Not a fan of meat in general, although I was thinking of incorporating Tuna into my sandwiches 4. I'm 25, Male, 254lbs (trying for…
  • If you are talking about today's diary, I haven't had dinner yet as its only 3.43pm here. But generally I'm a few hundred under my 2200 goal.
  • Have the same problem. Saw the GP on Monday and had gained 3lbs in the last month since I saw her for my monthly weigh in and chat. I think instead of a scales, I'll ask to be measured instead as I'm hearing that's more accurate anyway. Also, two things I'm changing: Drinking water every day (cause before I really wasn't)…
  • Alright. Thanks guys. I'm gonna go eat now! :-D And yeah that rhyme was awesome. lol
  • Because my GP told me not to and I've read other posts on here saying its very beneficial not to eat after 7.
  • True, but the fact I walked to the GP which is around 40mins away should negate some of that? But I did have some cereal before I set off and had a powerade while I was waiting as I needed hydration. Plus I figured 100cals isn't much considering I walked there and was going to walk home again. The cereal was 429cal so at…
  • Thanks for the tips. But a couple of things though. 1) I'm allergic to eggs and 2) I don't really like cooking or eating meat. Not a vegetarian per se, but I may as well be. lol Also if we have any, I always have a banana with my wraps. And the sweetcorn I add to the wraps are only 2-3 teaspoonfuls worth each anyway so its…
  • I've just made my profile public. And to answer your questions, no I don't have a scales at home (have been thinking of investing though). And I'm not sure how this matters, but I was weighed roughly at 12pm. Was waiting nearly 1hr 20mins for my appointment which was supposed to be at 11am (got there about 10.45am though).…
