It uses accelometers like those found in the average smart phone nowadays that measures movement. That seems to be the only sensors in them (other than a light sensor??). So, the ONLY thing it'll measure is movement. It looks super sharp, but I don't think it's gonna track things accurately enough for me.

I don't think it's a HRM at all. Nor could it accurately do calories burned. Just movement. Still seems cool though.

I second Convict Conditioning, but will have to check out the other stuff mentioned as well.
-
Did you use the calculations from the guide? That does seem like a lot of food. And I would say do your best with the 5 meals. Everyones circumstances are different. HRM - It can help to tell you when to slow down but if you know how to listen to your body you would be ok with it. I like having one because it tells me when…

thanks. Great post.

Finished mine.

Knocked out 100 before starting my day. Will be sure to finish as the day goes on.

Just finished. I did a mix between regular, wide, one footed and decline. I may have done more, but I forget if I had done any before i seen this thread.

Because insanity is no intense injuries are quite common. It's very important to pay attention to your form and slow down if needed. Proper footwear is also extremely important. I'm not say that this is what caused your injuries, but more just putting it out there for more warning. I'm on my recovery week right and…

I've done a full 90 days of P90 and a few workouts here and there of 30DS. I think P90 is probably the better one to start with as it's designed to last 90 days and designed so you can keep doing it. You also do one day cardio and one day strength so your muscles get that day to relax. With 30DS you do both everyday so…

Looking Great!

Hip Hop Abs was fun.

P90 is 30-40 minutes if I remember correctly. Been a few months. Plus an extra 10 or so on Ab days so up to ~50 minutes. Was a great programs although it can get a bit repetitive. It really got me primed to move on to other, more challenging programs.

I'm almost done month one. a) It's really tough it you make it. Some days I've slacked and rested more than I need to. On days when I push I'm drenched when I 'mdone feel awesome. b) I haven't stepped on the scale yet. But I'm feeling a whole lot better and have more energy. c) No problems with my arms as long as they get…

I just looked at them as a "NEVER AGAIN" type of thing. Yes, I hated them, but I used that as motivation to keep working hard and never let myself look and feel like that again.

I think mines called Total Gym. It's blue and I got it at Wal Mart for $40

You'll need at least either dumbbells or Resistance Bands. And a Pull Up bar is highly advisable.
-
Be careful of this one, as it's just one DVD with one workout on it. It's a good workout, but it'll get boring fast if you're not mixing it up with the other Hip Hop Abs videos. It has a lot of mat work too, where as the other ones are more dance oriented.

Some adjustable dumbbells that go to 55lbs or so A good Road Bike a good spin bike for the long hard winters
-
I"d love some Blue Milk. And maybe a Corellian Ale or two. Plus who wouldn't want to at least try Blood Wine.
-
Good to know. Now I wish I could remember where I read/heard that from.

Yous hould also have an afternoon snack. Are you eating most of your calories in the morning? It's advisable to eat every 2-3 hours to keep your metabolism working. This means you need to split up your available calories to allow for this. Jennloella is right though, a bit of extra activity will earn you some more calories…

I'm really enjoying Insanity at the moment and have had past sucess with 10 Minute Trainer and Power 90. Edit to add: I also have started P90X a few times and liked what I saw, but ended up with tonsilitis both times (unrelated I know) and had to stop after about a week. Switching things up with Insanity now.

If you haven't had a rest day in the past week I say have a bath and enjoy yourself. You're body needs rest.
-
I use a Timex 632 t5g981. It does what I need and was the right price for me (under $60)

Another option would be to rip dvd's you have onto your computer. Or maybe an external hdd to make up for the air's somewhat limited SSD capacity. Just another option.
-
I just started it this week and was also very nervous going in. If you go at your own pace and rest when needed it isn't too bad. Make sure you really dig deep though, but you can do it! I know you can.

I've got a bunch of Beachbody programs, a yoga mat, jump rope, resistance bands, dumbbells (5lb-20lb) and a pull up bar. That's really all I need. Aside from more weights. And a stationary Bike would be awesome but I don't have the room.

I knda like her. But I am still in my first week. I have lots of time for her annoyingness to set it. Yes, that's a word.

Check out CardioTrainer. I used it in the past and really liked it.
