The 2 biggest things that help me drink water: 1) drink it with a straw or out of a squirt top style water bottle 2) flavor it with the liquid no-calories drops (like mio or crystal light) I don't really like plain water, so #2 REALLY helps me drink a lot of water.
-
Pretty much the only way I drink water is by using the liquid no calorie flavor mixes (like Crystal Light, Mio, or various store brands). I rarely drink plain water. I find I drink WAY more water by flavoring it that way. I'm not a fan of flavoring it with pieces of fruit - just not my thing. I also find when I drink it…

What PP said. Definitely lower impact than Insanity. Good program if you want a shorter workout but still want to feel like you did something.

I make my own ranch. 2 tbsp reduced fat mayo (not light), 2 tbsp greek yogurt, 1 tsp dry ranch powder (like Hidden Valley). Add water a little at a time to desired consistency. I usually multiply this recipe by 4 and can get about 1.5 weeks worth of dressing. Comes out to about 17 calories per 2 tbsp of dressing.

I lost weight through the normal diet/exercise and have a lot of excess skin. Belly, upper arms, and inner thighs mainly like another PP said. But I have overall loose skin everywhere unfortunately, even though I have a lot of muscle in my arms, shoulders and thighs. The excess would definitely have to be removed via…

I am a Quest Bar newbie myself. Just had my first one yesterday. It was the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and OMG!!!! It was awesome. I have 6-8 other flavors (bought individual bars at the nutrition store) and I can't wait to try them. I'm so bummed that I still have 1.5 boxes of my old protein bars that I'll have to finish…

Thank you everyone for your replies. I think I'll give some form of TDEE calculations a shot this time. I'm just nervous to up my calories so much :ohwell:
-
Makes sense. Based on my calories now and the exercise program I am doing, they MFP + exercise and TDEE numbers) are reasonably close. However, I have not been eating back my exercise calories...just my MFP allotted calories.
-
My first goal is 150lbs. I will re-evaluate after that. According to the Scooby calculator my BMR is 1496 and my TDEE is 2319. TDEE -20% would be 1855.

1) Boredom 2) The simple fact it is just there

I feel the same way a lot of times. I just recently told someone the other day that I no longer look forward to going out to eat because it's too much of a chore and complicated. All I think about is the calories in it and whether it will cause me to gain weight. For me, going out to eat should mean I get to go have what I…

^ This. I weigh my PB in grams instead of a measuring spoon.
-
Unfortunately, I didn't really have any results from INSANITY. I didn't lose weight or inches really. Quite disheartening, which is why I'm nervous about taking time off.

No, no change in how my clothes fit. Same as before. I will be reducing my calorie intake to 1600 when I do the T25 program, so maybe that will help. I also thought 1900 was a little high, but I figured I would follow what the guide said.
-
I got the 1900 number from the nutrition guide based on my starting weight and daily activity level. That' 1900 is close to my TDEE as well.
-
I did use a HRM throughout every workout so I know exactly what I was burning.

I am already in month 2. I am on my last week of the program...I have 4 days left. That is why it is so discouraging and frustrating. I had seen a lot of people say that month 2 is when the results happen, which is why I remained optimisitc after month 1 and didn't see results. Now that I am about to complete the program,…

I can't imagine how doing the INSANITY program would cause me to plateau. If anything, it should have been the jumpstart my body needed. That's why I did this program...my routine prior to it wasn't giving me results so I decided to switch it up and do INSANITY.
-
Due to time constraints, I was strictly doing the INSANITY workouts. No extra weight lifting/strength training other than the body weight exercises in the program.
-
No, the 40/40/20 was 40 carbs, 40 protein and 20 fat.
-
Yes, they are...but I was hoping for other results as well.
-
Yes, I weigh/measure everything.

I have similar questions as you. I just started week 4 yesterday. The nutrition guide tells me I should be eating 1900, which I think is high. I've been doing 1700. Haven't seen any results yet though (and maybe the 1700 calories is why), but I've heard that sometimes not alot happens in month 1 which is why I am being…

I also don't prefer the taste of plain water. I have been using the sugar & calorie free liquid drink mixes (Mio, Crystal Light, off brand, etc) and it is helping me drink so much more water.

Insanity. Today was day 15!

bump...anyone?

This is why I get up at 4am everyday...so I can get my workout in while my daughter is still sleeping. I couldn't imagine trying to get a workout in while she was awake/running around. Love my daughter to death, but I definitely would not want her "participating" in my workouts or having to try to watch her while I get it…
