Hahaha. A bunch of meat at a meat party.

I'll pass on the swingers party. A good BBQ could be fun though, you guys are a hoot.

That's sweet, I wasn't asking you though. Merely playing the game. It is a game right? LOL
-
Yea, why not. :)

A girls night out could be fun.

Welcome to MFP! You can search by area, but I've found that forums about topics that matter to you are the best place to find like minded folks. The forums can help narrow down who's involved in the online community and who shares your interests. Feel free to add me

Welcome! Hope you find the MFP world helpful.

Its a target, not an absolute. a few calories on either side is no big deal. It's not what you do some of the time, its what you do most of the time. Now, if your upset about WHAT you ate then lets address that. How did you end up choosing to eat what you did? We're you really hungry so you didn't choose wisely? Was peer…

It may just be who you are. The calorie goal that MFP gives you is a starting point gleened by averaging thousands and thousands of people. It's not literally who you are and what you burn. Listen to your body. Eat if you're hungry, don't eat if your not. If you are still losing weight at a healthy rate don't worry about…

Hey there! I'd be your buddy. I'm an Emergency Vet Tech so I understand the stressors of the job. I'm on here everyday and have an open diary and log all my exercise. I do my best to provide support and encouragement, advice when asked. I'll send you a friend request.

I'm definitely open to some new friends. I'm on here a few times a day and do my best to give encouragement, motivation, advice (when asked), and generally be just another person in the same boat. I log my food on an open diary and just about all my exercise gets logged by Map My Fitness.

I just sent you a friends request. I think we have quite a bit in common (having read your profile) and some mutual accountability and support is ALWAYS a good thing. Phoebe

Hi Kelly! Your journey sounds very much like mine though I have more weight to lose than you do at this point. I originally lost 120 lbs over about 3 years and kept it off for about 2 years....then I began gaining. Life kinda came at me all at once and it happened. So now here I am to lose the 40 plus pounds I put on. I'd…

I'm bumping this to see if there are any other graveyarders or nightowls out there?
-
Anyone here is welcome to add me as a friend. I've been here a while and have been battling my weight since I can remember. I lost 120 lbs at one point and over the last year slowly gained a bit back, but that's on the mend now. I tend to be an odd-ball, often irreverent, often funny, almost always positive. Here's to new…

Love it! I'm game to be your friend if you'll have me.

I'm in the same boat. I like knowing that I have friends out there and that I can reach out to them when I need it and visa versa, but I'm no longer at the point in my journey where I need a constant hand to hold. Plus I like the idea of being able to check in and get ideas. Request sent. :)

I work swing shift and graveyard during my work week and switch to days on my weekends, sometimes being awake for 24 hours or more, so logging has been historically difficult. So for me I have my categories set as: 12am - 4am 4am - 8am 8am - 12pm 12pm - 4pm 4pm - 8pm 8pm - 12am It has worked quite nicely since no matter…

Sounds like I might fit the criteria here. :) Plus a buddy would help me too, sorta how I found your post actually. Friend? :) Phoebe

Hi there! I don't necessarily have any advice, but wanted to share that I have recently become this way (manic). In fact I just hopped back on here to see if I couldn't get myself grounded. I had a really manic day. Started with coffee and great intentions. I packed an AWESOME lunch of salad and berries and apples and…

As far as walking, my intensity/duration has gone up since I started, I started at 3mph for 1hr a day, though it hasn't been very long. And I have my lifestyle set at moderate (MPF lists nurse as an idea, and essentially thats what I am), because most days thats what it is, its just the occasional day thats particularly…

So heres the background, as part of my weight loss/getting healthier plan I have begun walking my dogs approx 2-3 hours a day 5 or 6 days a week, now since I walk at a fairly brisk pace I'm actually "burning" (so it says) about 820 to 1230 a day. My goal caloric intake with no exercise is about 1400 calories, and I hit but…

I know the feeling, my wagon dropped me off here last friday and I didnt know if I'd see it again, but lucky for me and my waist line it showed back up mid morning on Monday and my seat was still vacant so I hoped back on and reprimanded the drive for ever letting me get off in the first place. I think he gets it now,…

Update, YAY!!!!!! I managed to haul myself out of bed this morning at 6:30 to go for my walk with my dogs. It was a beautiful clear crisp morning and the view of the city from the beach was gorgeous. Anywho, thanks to all of your encouragement, it really did help.
-
We'll now I cant let you down too, I'll for sure go for a walk. Thanks for the support. I already feel so much better.

And OMG does one of those moving alarm clocks sound like a BRILLIANT idea! Where can I get me one.
-
I totally get the training my body to get up earlier gradually, but until about 2 weeks ago, when I moved and began a new job I had to get up a full 2 hours earlier than I do now just to make it to work on time, and when I moved I left a house with a lot of acreage (where my dogs used to run and play without my…

...and the road to hell is paved with good intentions.... My problem in turning good intentions into actual action. I keep making plans to take my two dogs for a walk in the morning. I get out the clothes the night before, set my alarm an extra hour early, I know the route I want to take in order to cover 3 miles,…
