Day 1 of gluten free here. Fed up of getting soooo bloated even when ive barely eaten. Noticing a difference already!

Woo hoo! Good for you! This time last year I was in an abusive relationship hoping for a nice crimbo. It was alright, but this year will be better! I was about 2 stone heavier and had never lifted a weight in my life. I started in January this year and truly believe that lifting gave me the confidence to kick that abusive…

Thank you for the link and info. My body fat done today done by taking wrist, forearm and waist measurement came out at 25.69% I will check the link out now.

Hahaha awesome! I miscalculated once. Infact it was my first time lifting in a gym, around people, and the bar didn't even move :-/
-
I know what you are saying! Ive gained 12 lb but my waist is smaller than the last time I was this weight and I actually have a bum. I didnt even have one when I was 3 stone heavier or when I was pregnant haha
-
Haha it really does feel badass! I could see the blokes looking and shaking their heads like 'not a chance' How are you finding your body changes? My fave is the lifted bum and shrinking waist!
-
Wow wow WOW!!! I thought mine were coming on nicely but lots of yours here put mine to shame!! You ladies have really inspired and motivated me after a sluggish 2 months!
-
Excellent progress, massive difference all over and especially your waist!
-
Search the groups for NROLFW. Lots of info and ladies doing it in there!

^^^This definitely. We have similar stats. I'm 5'4 and started to do the above at 137lbs...I'm now 128lbs and a lot firmer!! I have a pic up actually of the difference one month of lifting made going from 137lbs-132lbs. Feel free to add me.

Hiya! I'm not as tall as you but I'm pretty curvy! I actually like it! I'm at goal weight but lifting weights to get leaner...and get them abs!!! YES you can definitely get the abs! Take a look at my pictures, I had no idea this body was hiding under all those layers of fat! I haven't got great abs at the minute but after…

Thanks for the invite!

My profile pic is of the difference 4 weeks of stronglifts made. I haven't made much more progress as I have maxed my weights out so need to but some more urgently but it's been great for me so far. My thighs are rock hard as opposed to squishy!! Oh and not bulky either ha!

I think your love handles seem bigger because other places have shrunk and love handles are stubborn! I should know, I'm below goal weight and only just starting to see them shrink! Keep it up, they will catch up! I did the shred and had amazing results...after the shred you could look into heavy lifting, starting strength…

I was going to post the very same NSV yesterday but forgot!! I loved watching the men around edge closer to help...and see I was just fine on my own :-)
-
I 'whoa'ed'! out loud! That is amazing, such a difference! Great work!!
-
Hiya!
-
Ok thanks guys! I'm already lifting 'heavy' (only got 56lbs worth of weights at home which I've maxed so joining a gym next week) So I'll stick with that.
-
Nice guns! Keep up the amazing work!!
-
Wow your arms look amazing! I want arms like that! 4 weeks into lifting myself so fingers crossed. Great transformation!
-
Haha I do that often...always eager to learn ha Thanks :-)
-
Thank you :-) I was overwhelmed also when I was looking to start out. I kept asking Q's and researching but had no idea which way to go regarding reps and sets. 5x5 kept popping up so I stuck with that and I knew Deadlifts and squats were the most important so I did them and picked more exercises that seemed to work most…

I almost forgot, I've been using Palmers firming butter twice a day for about 2 weeks now and I can actually see a big difference on the stretch marks. They are more faded and smoothed out. Definitely recommend it and it's pretty cheap!
-
Thanks everyone and feel free to add me, it'd be good to see your progress if you start the same program!
-
Definitely start some lifting as soon as you can! If I had my time again I would've started right at the beginning of my weight loss journey.
-
I did the 30 day shred last summer which helped with my stomach loads! Lowering my carbs to around 100g a day and upping my protein really reduced the bloating so nutrition is definitely something to consider along with the exercise :-)
-
Thanks! I think it's really really helped with mine. I was at my goal weight but still not happy. The best body transformations I have seen are by people heavy lifting.
-
Thanks! I've been lifting 3 times a week. I only have 56lbs worth of weights at home so that's what I've gotten up to, joining a gym this week though and thinking about changing my routine to Stronglifts 5x5 once there. Currently doing- Deadlift 5x5 Squat 5x5 Military press 5x5 Chest press 5x5 Barbell row 5x5 Barbell shrug…

Try The Butt Bible routines, they are on youtube. There are 3 levels with 2 routines each, one for upper body and the main lower body routine. I just do the lower body as I'm targeting the glutes and abs only on my non lifting days. It's a really good workout! So pleased I stumbled across them, they're are a few before and…
