Nope. I've always had a big belly and even when I drop weight that belly doesn't leave. I'm happy with my chest and shoulders and my legs though. But the belly... that's something that has always been a huge issue for me.

Well nerdy artist, good luck to you on your journey and remember that every journey begins with the first step. The road is full of perils and once in a while you will lose your way, but keep moving forward. Cheers

The human body is adept at figuring out that you are trying to lose weight and then compensating so that you stop losing weight. At 5'2 and 140 lbs I'd say that you are close to a really good ideal weight so losing that last little bit is very difficult. (I've been trying to lose 30 lbs for years lol) Mix up your workouts.…

Your goals. What are you trying to accomplish will depend on what type of cardio you want. I put in five days of cardio a week, but I also possess a body type that clings to weight so the five days of cardio are how I make it without gaining a lot of fat. I'm also currently training for a May marathon. Cardio for me is…

It will work if you say it will work. If you go into it thinking it will fail, then you have already crafted that scenario. I work in an office where they bring in donuts every day. The struggle is real. Best of luck.

That all calories are equal.

I'd have to leave that up to someone else to say... I am not attracted to myself so I can't say what about me is sexy lol.

Good morning!

Could be - but from experience on both ends of the spectrum I will say that when a guy is sitting over about 22% body fat or so that his dating potential drops exponentially with each percentage point. Though of course its all about personal perception - I'd be very interested in seeing women in great shape with guys that…

If this were true then there wouldn't be as big a push on guys to hit the gym so much, and reality would be a whole different story. I've only ever met a small handful of couples where the woman was thin or fit with a guy with a belly in all my life. Its rare enough that it will turn peoples' heads in public. At least over…

The only thing that I cannot stand are: * people that take up multiple stations / equipment at the same time * jack offs curling in the squat rack.

I do both all the time.

Time is fleeting. Embrace your life while you can for its over in the blink of an eye.

Unless you're injecting male hormones or steroids or produce an abnormal amount of male hormones - you are not going to look like a dude.

And threads like this is why MFP is a joke.

Not everyone is built the same. If I eat my exercise calories back, I lose nothing. If I don't eat my exercise calories back, I lose. Also, MFP is very generous with what it says you are burning. If I run 5 miles, MFP says "congrats, you just burned 850 calories", whereas a heart rate monitor would tell me "congrats, you…

Bad credit score == a good chance the person is irresponsible. If you value someone on their responsibility level and maturity level, then this could indeed be a deal breaker, just as someone who is carrying 10 extra lbs around their midsection is a deal breaker with a lot of people.

5x5s. Or 6 exercises, 3 sets, 8-10 reps of moderate weight for 12 weeks starting. Then alternate programs. 12 weeks heavy, 12 weeks light with more reps. There are women in my gym that look fabulous and they are on the weights often. As long as you aren't injecting yourself with male hormones you are not going to bulk out…

I will look into the vitamin D supplement. Will it help with my "V"?
-
I don't workout, I lay on the couch rubbing chicken grease onto my man-boobs while gorging on twinkies and ho-hos and big macs and seethe in jealous rage alone in the dark with my cats because I'll always be alone because I'm fat.

Because MFP also part-times as a dating site where one goes to pick up others. Dating sites are also full of shirtless headless guys and cleavage shots. There are other fitness sites out there that I have found focus more on fitness and less on trying to hook up and not surprisingly there are less ab shots and cleavage…

I don't age. I'm perpetually 18. Forever.

I'm sure that this has already been said but girls say they want a guy that treats them right but then go for the bros and deadbeats. It works both ways :D Personality is great but for many is not the predominant factor. In fact as a former psychology student who took part in a year long sociological study on dating and…

I'm sorry I forgot this is MFP. We should be talking about our "V" and if the poster above us is hot not about silly things like if something is bad form or finding out if there is a point to what I initially perceive as just an ego thing without any real benefit but hoping someone can enlighten me otherwise. My bad. Carry…

http://www.conanstevens.com/bodybuilding-and-muscle-gain/big-huge-muscle-the-secrets/the-truth-behind-half-reps.html

In doing some research, I cant really see a benefit of this. The only thing that I can see is that guys do this to give the illusion that they can lift more weight than they really should be lifting. When I do half reps I don't feel like it has done anything. There are talks about specific area work but I don't see how…

But lifting heavy ... doesn't that cause women to "bulk up" and look like a man? I mean... if she lifts heavy she might start growing facial hair and ****!
