  • I ordered my supply of food last night. It should be here sometime next week? I would love to have some friends to share the journey with.
  • Hey all, I used MF from 2009-2010 and lost 125 lbs. Kept it off for about three years then the weight started creeping back on. I started again this last Tuesday. I've already lost 6 lbs. Woot! However, I was extremely bummed to find out that MF did away with their community boards. They are still there, but like a ghost…
  • For me, it is definitely a mind thing...boredom mostly. It is something that I am struggling with currently. Chewing gum has helped me break the habit before. It gives my mouth something to do without the calories.
  • Great progress! Keep up the good work!
  • Great losses everyone! Keep it up! I started Medifast in July of 2009. Started transition in Oct 2010. I lost 125+ lbs and have maintained within 5 lbs of my goal weight since then. As cliche as it sounds Medifast truly helped me change my life.
  • I'm 5'4" and lost 125 lbs before joining MFP. I spent 2 years at the 143-148 range. I have recently decided to lose another 10 lbs. any lose skin that is going to tighten up has done so already and I still have quite a bit of flab, so it's time to try to finish this up. In regards to BMI, there are lots of issues with this…
  • Here's one of the reports that I referred to http://health.yahoo.net/articles/weight-loss/top-weight-loss-plans-chosen-real-dieters.
  • I lost 125 lbs using Medifast and have kept it off for almost 2 years now. It does work, but is not for everyone. For me, I think it worked because it took the thinking out of it for me. I didn't really have to think about what to eat. If you follow the plan all the way through goal and transition, it then teaches you how…
  • Try looking for Tara Stiles on you tube. I really like her videos. Though I'm definitely a beginner when it comes to yoga.
  • Thanks, Ted. I just saw the jay birds on Amazon and they have good reviews. Definitely a possibility.
  • Hi all! Starting stage 7 soon (probably will take a week off first). I'm liking what I'm seeing about how hard the workouts are. Coming from stage 5, I'm ready for more of a challenge. I had a hard time keeping my heart rate up with those. About how long do the Stage 7 workouts take. Will I be able to finish them within an…
  • Bump. Needed to see this today.
  • ^This.... Although it is not stated in the book (and I think it should be) you really shouldn't do the full deadlift (starting with the squat) until you are over 100 lbs (I think I read somewhere 135). The weights needed for that get the bar far enough off the ground. In stage one, I would use risers for the aerobic steps…
  • Starting Stage 5 today. I was going to take a break first, but I'm feeling good and ready to get on with it. I'll be traveling in a couple of weeks, so I'll have about a week off then. Looking forward to changing it up, though I'm not looking forward to the evil BWM. :noway: I'm also looking for new ab exercises. I'm ready…
  • Just finished Stage 4 today. Looking forward to stage 5, but taking a short rest first. I'll be starting next Monday. I did take a quick look at it though...4 reps?! Wow! How did you decide where to start? And how long do the stage 5 workouts take? As long as Stage 4?
  • Great job ladies on finishing Stage 4...and with some impressive numbers! I do my last A workout today and will finish up on Monday with B. I'm starting to have aches and pains again while lifting, so I'm thinking I'll take a break before starting Stage 5.
  • Step-ups....high step with lower weight? Or lower step with higher weight? What's your preference? Right now I'm doing a high step with lower weights....and HATE them! Just wondering if I should tough it out, or change it up?
  • Ok, so I'm going to increase my calories and attempt to increase my protein. Is it even possible to meet your protein goal without protein shakes and/or powders?
  • I would love to hear in a few weeks if you feel like this has hampered your increase in weights any. Because of time issues, I keep the recovery periods to 60 seconds (I'm in stage 4 as well) and I do think this has kept me from lifting as heavy as I would otherwise. Probably not alot, but some. But I just can't do 90 mins…
  • Did workout B1 today. I was pleased to go up in weight on everything but the underhand pull down. I'm at 75 lbs on that one and the next jump is 90 lbs. Once I get to where I can handle that easily, then I'll do 90 lbs AMRAP, even if it's only 2-3, then switch back to 75 lbs to finish the set. How is everyone doing the…
  • Started stage 4 yesterday. I was so glad to get past stage 3. Definitely not my favorite. I was able to complete 3 sets and go up in weight on most exercises. And boy! I am feeling it today! So sore. Glad i have til Monday to recover. Not doing anything over the weekend except playing in the water.
  • I started at about counter height and at the end of stage 2 was doing them on a bench. I start stage 4 today and I think this ^^^ is going to be how I approach it. As many as I can on the floor then switch back to the bench for the remaining.
  • It took me until workout 3 before I could do these and I still only do a partial....not anywhere close to parallel. For the second workout, I actually did it with body weight only, just to figure out the body movement. Then added weight back for workout 3. These are not my favorite. Can you tell?
  • The is a good one. It was only about a percent off from when my friend did the bod pod. http://fitness.bizcalcs.com/Calculator.asp?Calc=Body-Fat-Navy
  • It makes you curvy.
  • OMG thank you for the laugh this afternoon!
  • Congrats on your success thus far. Medifast helped me to regain my life. I started at 268 lbs and I've been at goal of (around) 143 for almost two years. I now workout 5 days a week and miss it when I don't. Keep it up! You can do this!
  • I used this one when I got started. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pdH4qo3X9GM&feature=related She makes getting on the ball look really easy :-) but that's the way I do it....kind of. I lean into the ball with my shins, lean over the ball and put my hands on the floor. I then roll up onto my knees and walk my hands out…
  • I think you will be fine. Does the gym at least have mirrors where you can check your form? While I work out at a gym and there are lots of people around, I workout by myself. The weights that you will be starting with probably won't be heavy enough to be dangerous should your form fail.
  • Wow. It's been a quiet group over the weekend. I'm getting back to lifting today after a very long week break. I'm really looking forward to it. Workout 3B for me.
