Yay for starting out running! Couch to 5k is great! :) and if you have a smartphone you can download a free app to literally talk you through it. If you feel like this is something you seriously want to pursue, go to your local running store and get fitted for the right shoes- it can make a huge difference in your comfort…

What about calculating the number of calories as sedentary and then using exercise cals from MFP? Sorta like a hybrid?

I have a food scale and I use it a lot but I guess I can get into a habit of using it always. I think my calories were set too high because of breastfeeding recommendations which maybe weren't accurate for me personally. I run several times a week and do piyo- I think a fitbit would just make me think I can eat more…

OK thanks :) Just lowered my calories using a link from here (scooby's workshop or something) and hoping for the best! It's not hard for me to get moving and I don't think I overestimate my exercise calories so I guess it's the food. I'm also transitioning from nursing my baby so it could be I burn less calories than most…

I add calories for breastfeeding (not exclusively) which put me in group C (1600ish) and days that I run I'm in the highest category (1800ish) I have 20 lbs to lose. I probably wouldn't be doing this plan otherwise to be honest. But with all the protein they ask…

Me! I run a few miles a week also and I really like what PiYo adds in terms of flexibility and strength training, without taking up too much time or effort. I'm also doing the nutrition plan which is unlike anything I've tried- it's a little time consuming but I love that it's all real healthy whole foods. I'm never hungry…

Finished week 6!! Not enjoying the dread mill but it's freezing out and only getting freezinger! On the upside- by the time I finish 5k and then make it through 10k training it's gotta be nicer out!!

Yes I always get extremely red in the face (and sometimes white around the mouth) when I work out hard.. since I'm a kid- hasn't been a problem other than freaking people out :) I'm 30 now and it still happens. My dad gets it too- I think it's just what we do. Is this a new thing for you? If so, may want to ask your doctor.
