  • Hi guys! I'm really inspired by this thread! I'm 5'1, 31 y.o. SW: 156 CW: 144 GW: 125- maybe I'll go lower when I get there if it feels right ;) taking me a while......
  • Planning to run my first half on March 1st! Awesome to see that I'm in such good company  Good luck everyone and happy training!
  • Hi! I am training for my first half too! I've done some 5ks and a 10k and this is something I've been really wanting to do so I'm really pumped! I'm up to 4.5 miles on my long runs- doing a program that incorporates a lot of strength/stretching and cross training to prevent injuries and I'm not beating myself up about my…
  • Yay for starting out running! Couch to 5k is great! :) and if you have a smartphone you can download a free app to literally talk you through it. If you feel like this is something you seriously want to pursue, go to your local running store and get fitted for the right shoes- it can make a huge difference in your comfort…
  • Oh cool :) thanks for clarifying!
  • What about calculating the number of calories as sedentary and then using exercise cals from MFP? Sorta like a hybrid?
  • I have a food scale and I use it a lot but I guess I can get into a habit of using it always. I think my calories were set too high because of breastfeeding recommendations which maybe weren't accurate for me personally. I run several times a week and do piyo- I think a fitbit would just make me think I can eat more…

  • OK thanks :) Just lowered my calories using a link from here (scooby's workshop or something) and hoping for the best! It's not hard for me to get moving and I don't think I overestimate my exercise calories so I guess it's the food. I'm also transitioning from nursing my baby so it could be I burn less calories than most…

  • Thanks, that makes sense- but as far as the whole BMR/TDEE thing (which I don't quite get)- does it help with that whole thing?

  • I have the bob revolution and really love it. It's great for smaller or bigger kids- I now have the single for my baby and previously used the double for 2 toddlers- it pushes effortlessly, has a great sunshade and is just really well made. In terms of the front wheel, you can either use it fixed or swiveling which is very…
  • That's amazing!! What an accomplishment  I will never forget the day I ran my first mile without stopping!
  • LOVE this one
  • Hi! I would love to join this group! Age: 30 Weight: 150 Goal Weight: 125ish Biggest Struggle: staying consistent when things are really busy, drinking enough water
  • Another vote for Moving Comfort! I have the Fiona and love it
  • Thanks!! :)
  • Franci- Good for you that you don't have any weight to lose! I add calories for breastfeeding (not exclusively) which put me in group C (1600ish) and days that I run I'm in the highest category (1800ish) I have 20 lbs to lose. I probably wouldn't be doing this plan otherwise to be honest. But with all the protein they ask…
  • Me! I run a few miles a week also and I really like what PiYo adds in terms of flexibility and strength training, without taking up too much time or effort. I'm also doing the nutrition plan which is unlike anything I've tried- it's a little time consuming but I love that it's all real healthy whole foods. I'm never hungry…

  • Here's where I'm at- 1.5 today and 17 to go.
  • 2.2 miles today
  • Hi! I'm new to this challenge. Aiming for 30 miles in July.
  • I like the idea of 2 days weight training/3 days running- I am going to aim for that! :) Thanks all for sharing!
  • Finished week 6!! Not enjoying the dread mill but it's freezing out and only getting freezinger! On the upside- by the time I finish 5k and then make it through 10k training it's gotta be nicer out!!
  • Y'all are doing awesome!! Just finished W6D2- I feeeel good...
  • Just did W6D1!
  • Hi again- MtMcConnel- here's a great youtube video I found that has some good core exercises and you can do with your baby :) I always listen to my pandora station to get me through boring workouts (which IMO most strength based ones are!) Hope everyone is good.. just finally finished week 5 of c25k and really pumped about…
  • Took me an extra week because of various chaotic things but I finished week 5! Here's to a more on-pace week 6 :)
  • sounds great!! are you breastfeeding? lots of people don't have periods while breastfeeding so it could be that.. good luck!!
  • Yes I always get extremely red in the face (and sometimes white around the mouth) when I work out hard.. since I'm a kid- hasn't been a problem other than freaking people out :) I'm 30 now and it still happens. My dad gets it too- I think it's just what we do. Is this a new thing for you? If so, may want to ask your doctor.
