Thanks for your reply, it is really helpful! May seem like a stupid question but what do I do between repeats? Walk, jog, stop? I have been jogging between the 400m ones.

Wow, what an awesome time!!! I hope to come in under 2 also for my next one in 5 weeks. My first was 2.28 but that was this same race last year and I have improved alot since then. ....At least I hope I have!

Feel free to add me too, I would love to have more running friends! Started c25k around July last year when I was at my heaviest. Ran a 5k in Nov, 10k in Dec and a Half Marathon in Feb and am now at my goal weight. I am training hard for some PB's this season, have already ran the 5k so I have the 10k and the half to go!

I am 35 and completed the program in September last year. I could not run 5k at the end of it, but I could run for 30 minutes, I gave up smoking around week 4, just because I was enjoying running so much and smoking did make it very difficult. It did become so much easier after that. I ran my first 5k race in November, a…

I still have my house there (brisbane), but for the moment I live in Dubai (Middle east). Coming back to live in about 2 years, can't wait. I miss home!!!

You can do it. I took me 3 months to be able to run a 5k. I ran my first in November 32.18. 2nd 5k in December 28.28. Then a 10k in Jan 1.00.04, then a half marathon in Feb 2.28. I didn't try to race my half, just wanted to finish! If you stick to your training plan, you WILL be able to do it. Good luck!

I was losing a small amount during my half marathon training. After I finished the race I stopped the long runs and dropped 7 pounds in 3 weeks, but not much on the tape measure. Might have been water weight, not sure why???

Jay, you are both a great inspiration and a great support to me to me everyday. You have earned every piece of your success and I am so proud of you!

I finished just under my goal time in 2:28! I had to stop for the loo at the 5k mark and there was a big sandstorm as well, so I am happy with my result. My first half of the race was alot faster than the second, I totally lost the mental battle as the race progressed! I don't think I was quite ready mentally and strength…

Well I did it!! I finished my first half marathon!! Finished in 2:28 It was very difficult, I think I should have done more strength training as my thighs were so sore for the last 8k. But all in all I am very happy as my goal time was 2:30 and I only decided after I finished my first 10k race 3 weeks ago to even attempt…
