NSV- First 5K

I completed the Couch to 5K program a few weeks ago. When I started the program on February 1st, I weighed 254 lbs (5'6") & today I weigh 233. I never thought in a million years that I would be able to run a full 5K at a decent pace with my current weight. Well today's 5K was pretty damn hilly & it was HARD but I sucked it up & I kept telling myself "do NOT quit" just keep going.

Well I finished the race in 35.27 minutes.

For all of those who are on the heavier side like me, do not every doubt your abilities. You CAN do it.

    That is awesome! Good job on your success! My goal was to do my 5k today in 36 min, but I came in at 38:31. Which is 30 sec. less than the last one! So it is still a victory, but not what I wanted. I won't give up though! Thanks for the inspiration!

    I did my first 5K today = 38 min some seconds. Results not posted yet. Yay go newbie runners!!!
