• How long have you been stuck? Are you eating enough? Are you logging everything accurately? What about your water intake?
• Feel free to message me if you feel the need to discuss my exercise habits, the reason I unfriend people who make excuses, my favorite color, political views, blood type, etc.
• Of course I have issues. I have issues with people who makes excuses. I'm not logging cleaning. Or mowing. Or cooking. Or any of those other crap "exercises." If you do, that isn't my concern.
• Sure. Just send me three easy payments of $19.95 and I'll tell you all about you need to do this for yourself because no one can lose weight for you. I'll tell you my secret of how I gave up coffee and processed foods and have never felt better. I'll even share with you how I fell off the wagon, gaining everything back…
• I weigh myself every morning when I wake up. If you're the type who gets discouraged by seeing weight fluctuations then don't do it. For me, I find that it keeps me accountable.
• No. When I see people logging lawn-mowing and cleaning it makes me think that they don't have enough willpower or determination to do a real workout. If you want extra calories for that type of stuff, buy a Fitbit. Then you can log only your intended workout and your Fitbit will give you any extra calories you've earned…
• Serving other people. Nothing makes me feel more fulfilled than knowing I have made a positive impact on someone's life.
• Pretty face. I consider myself average but I have seen some people who were handed an unfortunate set of physical traits.
• I don't usually snack but if I'm really craving something I reach for a caramel-flavored rice cake with peanut butter and a sliced banana on top.
• Congratulations! You look great! Love your curly locks, too!
• It's basically a glorified pedometer but it can be synced with MFP so the two work hand-in-hand, plus you can add friends and compete with one another. It's around $100 and I feel it's worth the price. There are several different styles. I have the One because it's easily hidden and tracks the flights of stairs I've…
• This statement is not accurate. When you set up your MFP profile, it asked you how much you wanted to lose per week. Eating back your exercise calories keeps you on track with MFP's target and you will still lose weight as long as your logging is accurate. You can either figure out your TDEE less 20 percent and eat that…
• If you have your Fitbit synced to MFP, then you need to enter the time it was that you started exercising. I use the app on my iphone and instead of just having "minutes performed" and "calories burned" there is now another entry area for the "exercise start time." If you don't enter your start time, then your Fitbit will…
• Count me in! Sept. 1st -- 77 minutes; end of day Fitbit mileage: 6.17 miles Sept. 2nd -- 96 minutes; end of day Fitbit mileage: 7.29 miles Sept. 3rd -- 68 minutes walking/58 minutes hiking; end of day Fitbit mileage: 8.71 miles Sept. 4th -- 73 minutes; end of day Fitbit mileage: 7.34 miles Sept. 5th -- 61 minutes as of 2pm
• Trying this one more time: Yes! It worked!
• Mid-May 2014 and today showing a nearly 35-pound difference: Read the tutorial and it still didn't work. Oops
• I do. I make sure I drink half my bodyweight in ounces of water.
• Keep both. I'm not a potato fan at all. Or, make broccoli salad. That's always a hit.
• My very first little change that I made was drinking a homemade kefir smoothie every morning for breakfast as compared to my old breakfast which consisted of a cup of coffee with way too much CoffeeMate French Vanilla creamer. That change led me to give up diet Dr. Pepper which led to giving up coffee altogether. I…
• 1) Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate 2) Slow down...like really slow down...walkers might pass you, but that's okay 3) C25K 4) Shoes
• I love mine One! It's a great motivator and helps me log my activity more accurately. I always use my Polar FT7 when I exercise but my One accounts for the rest of the stuff I do during the day that I would never log. Is it a glorified pedometer? Absolutely, and it's worth every penny in my opinion.
• I drink a smoothie every morning. I always use spinach, homemade kefir, chia and flax seeds, and organic whey protein powder. I add different combos of fruit. This morning it was strawberries, blueberries, and half a banana. Yesterday morning it was half an orange, a thick pineapple ring, and half a banana. Sometimes I'll…
• I always run in the mornings on an empty stomach. After reading the MFP blog yesterday, I decided to eat oatmeal this morning to see if it made a difference. It didn't. If anything, it made me feel somewhat sluggish. I'll stick to running on an empty stomach because that's what works for me.
• Warther's. Lifetime guarantee. Free sharpening. Love them.
• We met when we worked at Bob Evans when we were teenagers. I remember turning in my application and seeing him working. I thought to myself, "I'm gonna get me a piece of that." Lol! Little did I know that I was ogling my future spouse!
• We can't really help you if your diary isn't open. If you aren't losing weight, you're eating too much. If you don't have a food scale, get one. Make sure you're logging accurately. There are a lot of user-submitted foods in the MFP database that aren't accurate. Take pictures of yourself and measurements. It could be…
• I chose the One over the Flex and I love it! It's a great little motivator and worth every penny in my opinion. I still use my Polar HRM when I workout because I want an accurate burn but the Fitbit really helps during the day and gives me extra calories if it thinks I have done more than what MFP does.
• Make an appointment with your doctor and get some blood work. Ask him/her to check your Vitamin D levels. I have a deficiency and feel very similar when I'm low.
