Motivation has to come from within. That said, have you considered rewarding yourself for establishing certain habits? Logging MFP, weighing regularly, and exercising are all habits that may have a positive impact on your weight while not being directly tied to your weight. That is, you're not rewarding yourself for losing…

Yes, I fill the celery too. If I were using a smaller amount then I think I would just put the pb on a plate and dip the tip of the celery into it. That's how I eat apple slices with almond butter.

If you don't care then there's no reason to lose weight. If you're medically healthy then don't worry about it. I understand where you're coming from. For the first 5 years of adulthood I didn't care at all that I was borderline overweight (BMI = 24.8) and didn't exercise beyond walking from my apartment to the car. I had…

I recommend sitting down and looking at your goals and strategies for achieving them. See what changes you can make to keep things interesting without sacrificing the final result. For example, instead of walking on a treadmill go on hikes. Add different foods to your diet. Instead of logging food on MFP before each meal…

My basic seasonings are salt, pepper, butter, garlic, and crushed red pepper. I also use a lot of cheese. Cheese makes even salads palatable and I usually hate salads. (There's nothing less exciting then a mouthful of dry roughage, IMO.) Acorn squash is sweet tasting. I've always added brown sugar, but I imagine it would…

If your activity level is set to Sedentary then I would add the standing calories. If it's Lightly Active then don't.

I use either Malin + Goetz deo or Meow Meow Tweet deo cream. I stay a little dryer with the latter but I don't stink with either of them and the M+G is easier to apply. I tried Tom's and wasn't happy with it.

I weigh my food so using a smaller plate isn't necessary for portion control but it does make my meal look less pathetic if I'm eating something that's calorie dense. I use small spoons for ice cream because I'm dainty.

I think it's normal to be slightly asymmetrical in muscle development. Now that you're paying closer attention to your body you're just aware of it.

Coffee is beneficial if you enjoy it, neutral if you don't care, and harmful if you're just trying to choke it down. If you get a stomachache and don't like the laxative effects then don't drink it.

Agreed. I'm 5'4" and carry weight in my lower body too. I feel best between 115-120. OP, since you say you're not fishing for compliments I have to assume you're looking for confirmation that your opinion is correct, but it doesn't matter what strangers online think. Your body is yours and you should do whatever makes you…

He can lose weight eating less of what he's currently eating.

Yes, after I made the cookies I realized they would've been better with some spice like cinnamon. I think you posted a video recipe on another thread with berries and pound cake? Not sure if that was yours but it looked similar. I was going to try that one.

I used the recipe at SkinnyTaste with oats, bananas and chocolate chips. I did not care for the flavor or the texture. I also weighed everything so I could get an accurate calorie count and each small cookie was 85 calories. I would rather use an extra 40 calories to eat a delicious homemade chocolate chip cookie.
-
That was my experience too. Totally not worth the calories.

Rock climbing because it engages my body and my mind. Also it's a great activity to do with friends.
-
I second the vote for homemade chocolate chip cookies. Bake and then freeze. Delicious! (And of course frozen cookie dough is also great.)

I'm in the US - West Coast. Feel free to add me.

Sometimes it feels so good to be bad!

Diet Dr. Pepper I remember Fresca being pretty good but I haven't had it in years. I like Diet Coke now but it's definitely got the artificial taste.

If that's the plan then can't you do this at home? You don't even need GC food - just put something on your plate, weigh it, and see how good you are at eyeballing portions. I wouldn't bring a food scale because I feel it would be a distraction from the social experience. A little like pulling your phone out and checking…

Yes, a decade ago I lost weight eating Lean Cuisine 1-2 times a day. I wasn't doing a deliberate "Lean Cuisine" diet - they were just lower calorie options and super easy. Now I prefer Amy's and Kashi meals for the flavor. I second the recommendation to make a big batch when you cook and then freeze (or refrigerate)…

I maintain at 1,600. If I exercise I eat those calories back too.
-
After losing the weight you start eating at maintenance which is higher than 1,200. For me it's about 1,600 for maintenance.
-
Water weight. I'm at 127 and my weight can easily fluctuate 4 pounds in a day.

Talk to your doctor about another medication that is less likely to increase your appetite. (Wellbutrin comes to mind.) As for your diet - get a food scale and weigh everything. Please don't eat below 1,200 without your doctor's approval. Does anyone have that video where they show a full day's meals measured versus…

Or surströmming! German food critic and author Wolfgang Fassbender wrote that "the biggest challenge when eating surströmming is to vomit only after the first bite, as opposed to before".
-
Fantastic! Also, cute outfit!

Congratulations on taking this step! I definitely agree that being honest with yourself is very important. Weigh everything before it goes in your mouth and log accurately. This is a long term commitment so plan on sticking with all of the changes you're making for the rest of your life. Each day is a new day. Don't beat…
