I had a doctor tell me I was tired because I have kids, never mind the 20+ other symptoms I had on a checklist for him. My new doctor ordered tests and found out I have Hashimoto's. My tsh was in high normal range but my antibody count was 818, normal range is in the 30s. My recommendation is get an antibody test to check…

I'm open about it because it concerns my health. I have about 30-35 to lose and they know it is difficult because of my thyroid. My boys are 6 and 4 and know that meat helps grow muscles and if they're getting full, I prefer they finish their vegetables instead of noodles, desserts or treats are small, they don't get juice…

I think you'll have to just wait and see if you're happy when you hit your goal. Sometimes losing weight means you end up with a smaller version of the same shape, and might need to do some strength training to get the lines you want. You might end up heavier than your goal weight but with a different composition, which is…

I suggest just increasing your daily calorie allowance by a few hundred so you are not having to log it every day. If you pump more or your baby eats less for some reason (illness, bottle at a babysitters) then you eat less, as well.

Hashimoto's here. I find that I lose weight when eating 50g of carbs or less, mostly gluten free. Gluten can exacerbate the autoimmune response if that is the underlying cause of the hypothyroid state. If your hypothyroidism is not caused by hashimoto's (ruled out by an antibodies blood test) then an iodine/kelp supplement…

But bro, do you even poop?

Eat between 1600-1800 for a couple weeks and see if your hair goes back to normal. I lost hair and was tired and cranky all the time when I was at 1200.

I'm assuming you're not looking to attract your little brother so his opinion is invalid.

You're eating 400 calories less than a WWII concentration camp victim. Maybe this should be the problem you should be concerned about rather than the weight gain.

I've done that and will do it again. No regrets. That stuff is delicious! I put it on my ice cream.

Good way to transfer the weight in your wallet to someone else's. Save your money for a food scale and a heart rate monitor for accurate calorie intake and output.

You need adequate protein and healthy fats, not just veggies. I eat 1400ish/ day. 5'3", 166lb. I would eat more if hashimoto's didn't mess up my metabolism so easily. To give some perspective: working concentration camp prisoners were given 1200 calories per day. if you have a physical job and are working out a lot, and…
