  • Hello. New here to this thread. Been on MFP forever. Iam 65 and decided last Christmas (2020) after dieting all my life and being fat, "I was done." I started a low-carb diet with some intermitting fasting on Dec 26th 2020 and as of today have lost 130 lbs. Now the hard part starts, maintenance. I feel better than I ever…
  • You've successfully already lost 42 lbs. Why start using drugs now? Continued doing what you used to lose the 42 lbs. Most drugs have side accents. Why risk it.
  • Hello, I'm sure I'm too late to join this group, but I would really like the chance to be. Really needing a group that is serious, dedicated and active. Iam down 85 pounds since Des 26, 2019. I have another 30 to 50 more to lose and I'm 65 next month. I would appreciate it if you'd consider adding me to your group. MFP…
  • Start monitoring the site again and getting rid of all the non-MFP/weight fitness messages. It's getting ridiculous. Return it back to the great weight loss community it used to be. Not a social media for all these random, creepy, non weight loss messages. You have to really look too even find messages related to losing…
  • Ordered two tops in a size XL. (down from a tight 3X) I haven't worn an XL for probably 30 years. So happy.🤗
  • akkooshtka, your doing great. 🙂👍You find out what works for you and you do you. Don't let anyone burst your bubble and continue doing what works for you. I've been doing a pretty low carb plan myself with some intermitting fasting. Mosting while Iam sleeping. I stop eating at 6 pm and don't start the next day till 9:30 am…
  • You can lose weight without exercising. Center in on your diet. If you don't eat the calories, you won't have to worry about burning the calories.
  • So far I have not notice any of the diet sweetners affecting my weight loss (6 mths with no stalls), making me hungry, or spiking my insulin. If my weight-loss does start slowing down, this will be the first thing I will look into. That being said, I know they are very unhealthy and I need to start eliminating them from my…
  • Hi Wendy, Welcome. You can do this. I've been dieting all my life and I retired this last year. Iam 64 and I figured this was my last chance time to do this once and for all. I follow a strict carb diet. You find what works for you and you do you. I started the day after Christmas 2020 and Iam down 65 lbs. I still have a…

  • I keep it pretty simple, if my scale says it's a loss I count as a loss. I don't care if its water, fat, or the last meal I ate. A loss is a loss. We have no idea how much is water and how much is fat. Just celebrate that it's a loss and go forward.
  • Please add me as a friend. Iam starting (again). I have alot to lose. I log daily and have an open diary to friends. I like sharing and encouraging each other. We can do this together. A New Year, a New Beginning.
  • My next seven days goal is to continue "To Do The Next Right Thing" every minute of every day and to stay the course until I've finish this journey. With His help, I can do all things.

  • Welcome. Feel free to send a friend request to me. I also started at over 300 lb. And still have a ways to go. You can do this. MyFitnessPal, logging all of your foods everyday. And being active on line here will really help and keep you motivate you. Good luck.
  • I eat 1200 calories a day also. I try to keep my carbs also down some, which I think how curbs the hunger.
