Still hungry all the time, still eating over large portions. I hate recording foods. Hate modifying recipes. There is nothing about this I want to do.

Ok then, doesn't sound like this is something your ready to do yet. It does take a level of want to and work to lose weight.

Did you enter your stats in MFP to find a calorie goal? Did you set it at 2pds a week? maybe lower that to 1.

are you eating back exercise calories?

i recommend finding new recipes VS modify the ones you already know and know what it "should" taste like.

Try looking into volumetric eating, where you eat more foods with lower caloric density (fewer calories per volume) to help satiation.

    have you eliminated any foods?

Have you written down a list of why you want/should lose weight? If not I suggest you do. Then you can also make a list of what is holding you back, or why you do not want to do so. Only you can do it. So you need to be ready to do it. To get to what I call the enough is enough point or the tipping point. If you are not truly there, it will not work, you will make it fail. There are so many different types of lifestyle eating paths you can take, try something new, not the same old one you hated and therefore failed on. Give yourself a chance, and start with maybe one change at a time, instead of trying to do everything at once. Start with small steps.

I feel like that some days. But I remind myself that it isn't just about losing weight but also getting healthy and controlling my husband's diabetes. We both just had Drs. appointments and our numbers were vastly improved.

You need to decide what you don’t like more. Being as you are right now, or logging foods. My guess is you’re not here because you’re content.

This is so true. Being fat is hard, losing weight and getting fit is hard. Choose your "hard". That being said, once you lose weight and are fit, it does get easier and you'll want to do it more and it does feel great when you look in the mirror and see all your hard work paying off. Feels better than eating the donuts......wait, maybe not that drastic but yeah....still feels pretty damn good.

    ps. of course I wouldn't know but that's what I've heard. :p

I had a day like this yesterday... I sat on the couch bathed in self-pity and drank coffee and ate Halloween candy all day. Then I had steak and potatoes and wine for dinner...now, it has passed and today I am back on track. Every once in a while my give a kitten just breaks
