  • I just get their drip coffee, usually the bold pick w/ 2 pumps of sugar-free syrup and a little half & half, add splenda as you need it for sweetness. Even with the little bit of half & half it's only 45 calories or so. I've been drinking this so long that I don't like the froo-froo lattes... they taste watered down!…
  • Try this... :flowerforyou: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3YBnm2ZJNCM
  • Not a personal trainer but this isn't a hard question to answer. Cardio is key when trying to lose weight. Cardio burns fat. Plain and simple. Strength training will help you strengthen and tone your muscles which will improve your overall physique when you do lose body fat and will also help boost your metabolism because…
  • Sunday morning after emptying my bladder and before breakfast. Why? Because I am OCD and my week starts on a Sunday! I'll take a peek mid-week or whenever I feel the need. Helps keep my water balance in check. If it's going up, I know I'm retaining water and not drinking enough... helps keep me in line with my daily…
  • I got hit with the ball playing this sport... I don't like getting hit with balls... never played it again! Plus that tiny little room makes me feel claustrophobic!
  • Tams, I've said it before and will say it many times more... YOU are amazing! In every way! Your story is such an inspiration to many and you're such a strong and independent woman. So glad to know you!! :flowerforyou:
  • Fairly close to my favorite salad. I LOVE strawberries in my salads. I use raw spinach and strawberries, mandarin oranges, pecans and a red wine or raspberry vinaigrette but balsamic sounds tasty too!
  • Thanks! I'm not worried about running as fast as I can... although it's important for interval training! I just can't keep up a steady pace while running without really skyrocketing my heart rate and becoming overly exhausted. I'm jealous of those that hop on next to me and run @ a pretty good clip for 30mins to an hour!!…
  • Hmm... 3.5mph is a walking pace for me. I'm 5'3" and 158lbs. I've never been a runner but I'm doing 30 sec intervals at 6mph and doing about 5-6 intervals mixed with walking for 2mins in between at 3.5mph. I have a small heart condition that causes my heart to be more excitable than a normal person's heart and I'm REALLY…
  • YES! It DOES work... but only if you allow it to! Like a previous poster said, you get out of it what you put into it. Counting calories is a simple and reliable way to lose weight. It doesn't take me much time to log my food into my diary here. Welcome! :flowerforyou:
  • Officers always write everything down. It's just standard practice for them. It's in case there IS something going on and they need to recall the information. Relax. You're fine.
  • I certainly know what you mean. I'm trying to be a runner but it's just not natural for me either. I'm only 5'3" and it's awkward running next to taller, leaner people that look so graceful running like a gazelle! I'm just trying my best to develop a rhythm and get my breathing in sync. I'm trying this program out, but…
  • I use my wire rack on a baking sheet and put them under the broiler for a bit until the edges start to turn brown. Then I let em cool there for a minute and toss em in a mixing bowl with my choice of seasonings. No oil or spray needed at all!
  • Thanks for posting this Arielle! I tried it yesterday! Oy!!
  • Welcome!! I am a nurse and also in S.A.! Congrats on a wonderful career choice and the decision to get healthy! :drinker:

  • Yes. Remove the %20 and insert a space instead. Common hyperlink translation of spaces. Computer geek stuff. And I just realized that you made this transformation in only 90 days... WOW! :noway: That's certainly an accomplishment to be proud of!! Enjoy your trip in Vegas! :drinker:
  • I fixed them for you... for some reason it didn't like that the name of your album on photobucket has spaces. Great Work! :flowerforyou:
  • Thanks for posting. I'm a fellow nurse and I pack my lunch for work everyday. The day starts off with a protein bar and a morning snack of fruit, usually blueberries or bananas. Lunch is usually a frozen entree and a piece of fruit and afternoon snack is string cheese and fruit or almonds. The balance of carbs, fats and…
  • You are seriously amazing. You should be so proud of your accomplishment. I am in awe of your pictures!! :flowerforyou:
  • bump This sounds wonderful!
  • Anyone else's calves just so dang sore after doing this workout?? I did L1D1 yesterday and today I can barely move them! I think it was all the JJ's. (and yes... I've stretched... I've got the heating pad on them now!)
  • This is certainly not the norm. What was posted previously is more equal to the norm. A few tablespoons of blood is shed during menstruation each month. This certainly doesn't equal several pounds of weight loss. Even though there is some minor tissue loss along with blood. What will cause additional weight loss is…
  • Yep. I'm ravenous around TOM... and I crave carbs... I just let myself have them within reason and within my calorie intake and it seems to work. I'm still losing weight consistently. If I don't eat the carbs my body craves during this time.. I am ONE cranky *B*!! I'm a believer that your body craves certain things for a…
  • Just bought this tonight and did L1D1... :noway: This is hard!! :grumble: The jumping jacks and the "butt kicks" are really killer! I just couldn't do the last cardio session :ohwell: I won't be doing this every day but I hope to include it in my regular workout routines! :drinker:
  • Yes... I've done it. It works. The HIIT that I did was on a treadmill as follows: (Adjust the speeds to meet your needs, I'm overweight and have short legs... the sprints should max out your heartrate around 90% and you should feel like you can't go anymore than the 30secs!) 5min walking warmup (3.5mph) sprint 30 sec…
  • Don't think I've had those... but it is an acquired taste over white breads. I really like Thomas 100% whole wheat english muffins, Pepperidge Farms Whole Wheat Deli Flats (only 100 cals and nice and soft) and Pepperidge Farms Whole Wheat Hamburger Buns. I still can't do the multi grain ones that do taste like cardboard.
  • Yep. Told ya I'm from that area! :) Can't guarantee ya they will have it or any at all, but it's a great place to go look for kitchen gadgets like this!
