British Pancakes
Searching for "pancake" to enter in the diary and I can't work out which matches up with the British style ones - not the American thick, breakfast type ones. Shall I just go "crepe" (I'm not making crepes, they're pancakes)? Banana pancakes are ALWAYS a disaster for me. Plus, I want old school proper pancakes. Cheese and…

Rest Days?
My standard week of exercise includes an aerobics style class, a street dance class, dog walks/jogs and gym time. At the gym I'll do cardio, use the weight machines and toning (plank, stretches etc). Anyway, my question is: how necessary are rest days to build muscle? I'm mainly looking to slim down and tone up so a…

Best Online Classes, Workouts, Challenges?
I need to start varying my exercise and wanted to start some classes and start gymming but I've just looked into the cost of it and I really cannot be affording £35 a month and £5 at least for a class. I've got a spin bike at home and think I should start jogging again (it's free and there's a new local park run I can join…

Seaside donut / doughnut
We went to a sandcastle competition yesterday evening and my husband bought us a coffee and a doughnut from one of the seaside shops. (Oh I do love living by the seaside). Anyway, I've no idea how to log it. I'd saved loads of calories for my evening meal so it won't drive me wildly over but it sure how to log it. All the…

It works - but does it reeeeally?
Spotted this gem on Facebook from my cousin. I've fallen off the wagon recently (too many buffet and picnics) but I am not tempted by this. Surely it's short term and you can achieve similar results with a roll of value clingfilm and maybe some Olive oil?!

Superfood programme (UK)
Who else is watching this Supergood programme on Channel 4? Lots of good myth busting.

Wraps
My cousin is constantly touting her newest "business" that's something to do with magic wraps that rid you of cellulite, fat, wrinkles, thread veins and who knows what else. Sounds like a scam to me, some sort of pyramid scheme probably. If there was a magic wrap out there we'd all use them. Has anyone actually used them…

Where to start with weights?
I do regular indoor biking but want to start using weights at home. I can't afford gym membership and doing it from home means childcare isn't an issue. I work from home too so sometimes use a 30min at lunch time but prefer this break to be out walking the dog. Where's best to start? Recommended online videos or DVDs to…

Can I add a weight in retrospectively?
It's not the end of the world but I want my weight graph to really show how far I've come since February. I weighed myself during half term and was so shocked to be over 11stone I didn't log it or rejoin MFP until I had already established regular cycle rides and was losing a bit but steadily. Is there a way of entering my…

My sister lost a stone in a week... Find out her secret here!
She had a baby! Baby + water retention + all the other stuff = weightloss. Seriously though, there's no magic spell that will make you lose weight that quickly and keep it off long term. I wish it weren't true as I'm finding it a real slog at the moment. Especially around my midsection. Damn you tummy!

UK Masterchef fans!
How do you get through an episode without gorging on food or throwing a cheffy supper together?! I've resorted to indoor biking during the programme. Can't eat at the same time!

Parents of Young Kids - Do You Tell Them About MFP?
Hi, just curious about how other parents talk with their kids about weightloss/healthy eating/My Fitness Pal. My boys are aged 3 and 6 and I have an 8 year old step daughter. They're pretty active - 6 year old does 6.5 hours of gymnastics a week and the 8 year old does rugby and dance. We've always eaten pretty healthily…

Hello! I'm back but this time I'll talk!
My fitness pal has worked for me in the past but I've never engaged with the community and hope that actually communicating with real life people will give me more motivation and help me sustain for longer! I'm also keen to help others, share tips, the highs and lows. Meg x
