Christmas is coming...stocking ideas?
Hi all - My bf and I are celebrating our first keto/low-carb Christmas together and I'm trying to come up with a list of food related items to put in a stocking instead of the usual sugary Christmas stuff. So far I have macadamia nuts and coconut oil. We don't do SF stuff so sweets are out -- but feel free to include those…

A surprise and the scale is a deceitful b*
So I've been totally stalled AND gaining weight. I've keto for almost a year and have lost almost 70 lbs but in the last few weeks my moving average has been going up for the first time since I started. I haven't been ready to throw in the towel but was definitely starting to question All The Things! Do I need to look at…

Nice to see a plug for low carb…

How do you reward yourself?
As I edge towards 40 lbs loss (end goal is 75) I'm thinking about what I'm going to reward myself with...obviously food is out of the question! At 30 I bought some new clothes. For 40, I'm thinking I might finally splurge on a streaming TV solution (Apple TV or Roku). How do you celebrate milestone weight losses? Do you…

Recipe sources - keeping it fresh!
So one of the ways I stick to this WOE is looking for new and interesting recipes online or in cookbooks. My poor kids never get stuff they like twice, which drives them crazy! So I'm always looking for new web sites or books to hunt up new things to try. A few of my go-to sites: djfoodie.com ibreatheimhungry.com ketodiet…

It's LCHF but...
Is there anything you ate that should have been good...but really wasn't? I forgot my breakfast/lunch bag a week ago and stopped by a fast food place and ordered two breakfast sandwiches. I ditched the buns - so it was 2 eggs, possibly three slices of bacon and the remnants of processed cheese slices that weren't still…

De-lurking and intro
Hi all - I've been lurking for the past few weeks after starting LCHF on June 27th. This isn't my first try at Low-carb. I first lost a lot of weight in my early 30s (about 13 years ago). I dropped about 50 lbs at that point but changes to my life (separation from my then husband) led me to gain back the weight and more.…
