My accountability: Crimsongrey
Hey all! Sorry I haven't checked in for so long. I've been super busy since getting home from Aiken in April. We bought a farm that needs a lot of work so that's what I've been doing...working! Lots of working! I also hurt my back really bad and was completely out of commission for 2 months. During the past few months I've…

same work every day, feeling sore and weak
I own a horse farm and do a lot of manual labor every day. I've been doing this type of work for 15 years and although it's always been tough, over the past year I've been feeling really sore and weak from the same amount of work. Lugging buckets of water, cleaning stalls, lifting 50lb bags of grain, etc. It's all feeling…

I own a horse farm and do a lot of manual labor every day. I've been doing this type of work for 15 years and although it's always been tough, lately I've been feeling really sore and weak from the same work. Best motivational vidoes, books, quotes, etc.
Hey all! I may have asked this before, but I am hoping you'll all share some of your favorite things to gain motivation, either in riding, fitness, or life in general. Usually for me, if I find motivation for riding, I am inspired to do better in the rest of my life so I tend to seek out sources for riding. Here is one of…

What can we do to support YOU?
Since it can sometimes be hard to get friends and family to truly support you (my husband is an enabler and my friends are too nice to push me), what can we do on here to help you push through the tough times? For me, I would really love it if you all would get after me if I don't go running enough. It makes such a…

enablers
My husband is such an enabler. I am so good with my eating during the day, but it all goes to hell when he gets home. And weekends? Forget about it! I tell him I want to stop drinking, but he keeps bringing home irresistible craft beer. He always has a bowl of M&M's out and can completely forget about them. Not me. I can…

Please introduce yourself!
I'm an eventer and need to be more fit for cross country! I had worked in barns and as a trainer for several years, but my life circumstances have changed and I'm not nearly as active anymore and have become out of shape and overweight. I have gone from riding 5-10 horses a day to riding one and not doing any chores as I…

As much as I don't mind talking to myself, I'd love to hear the thoughts of others! Feel free to participate :)

30 days until spring
I think we need a 30 day challenge! Any suggestions? I'm in Aiken for another month and spend 10-12 hours a day doing chores and riding so I'm not sure I can physically do more, but I'd love to support the rest of the group if anyone is up for a challenge :)

Trying to lose weight? What's your nutrition plan?
What is everyone doing as far as food goes? I'm currently just logging and keeping my calories under the goal and trying to eat enough protein. Just wondering what you guys are doing.

magical recipe for weightloss
Every time I'm in Aiken, I am reminded that there is no secret to weightloss. Work harder, eat less, lose weight. This is happening to me. Yesterday I cleaned paddocks for 8 horses twice , fed them twice, rode 4 of them and then cleaned the tack. I ate breakfast, lunch and dinner as usual. This has been a typical day for…

Week 6
I started the challenge as motivation to get fit for my working student gig that starts next week. With unexpected stress (trying to buy a farm!) and frigid temperatures that kept me from being able to ride, things have not gone as planned. Although I have not stuck to my plan and have not lost weight, I have been getting…

stress/emotional eating
Hi, my name is Crimsongrey and I'm an emotional eater. I have had a huge set back and have not been logging or working out much for the past couple of weeks. Normally this time of year I would be kicking it up to high gear and almost obsessing over losing weight and getting fit for my trip south with my ponies. However, we…

would love international friends
I am so interested in cultures other than the US and would love to travel more, but it's not in the cards for me right now. I'd love to have friends in other countries :) And US friends, where are your favorite places to travel?

Happy New Year!
Happy New Year everyone! I hope everyone has a great year :)

Week 4
Time to really take things up a notch! I leave for Aiken in 18 days!! My toe has healed enough that I will start running today, in addition to the rowing and strength training I've been doing already. Healthy foods with plenty of protein will be the nutrition goal. Hope everyone is doing well and keeping up with their…

How much weight can I lose in 18 days? Need a quick start!!
So, I'm not looking for lifestyle changes right now, but am looking for a way to lose as much weight as possible over the next couple of weeks. I've already been eating pretty healthy and workout 5 days a week. In 18 days, I start a job that will help me lose weight without trying (a very physical job that I've done in the…

Merry Christmas!
Hope everyone has a great day! My Christmas day resolution is to not beat myself up for being overweight and to just enjoy the day. Cleaned 8 stalls and rotated and fed 20 horses. The rest of the day will be relaxing :)

Week 3!
Hope everyone is keeping up with their plans to reach their goals. It's not easy this time of year, with the holidays and weather challenges, but spring will be here before we know it! Think of how fit and ready you'll be for your riding goals and everything else in life  I'm planning on sticking with my original…

Christmas/Hanukkah plans?
For those who celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah or ?? what are your plans? Anything fun and exciting? I'll be feeding breakfast and doing stalls so won't be home until around noon. My hubby and I don't have family here and we don't have kids, so we'll just have a quiet day hanging out and having a nice dinner together at home.…

6-week challenge
Hi All, I have decided to commit to doing 5 workouts and 5-6 rides a week until January 13th when I will be taking my ponies to South Carolina to start my show season. I work for a trainer while there and the days are long and exhausting. I want to be as fit as possible so that I can thoroughly enjoy the experience without…

Curvy girls...Favorite breeches?
No matter what size I am, I always have an issue with a gap at the waist. I do best in Piper's and have some old Trainer's Choice that fit well. Absolutely cannot wear Tailored Sportsman's. Ariat's are ok, depending on style. What are your favorites that fit curves and hide lumps and bumps?

Invite your friends!
Hey guys, I want to make sure our group doesn't die out like others have in the past so if you have any horsey friends that have not joined, please invite them to do so. The more members and the more participation, the more support and encouragement for all of us :)
