I am so interested in cultures other than the US and would love to travel more, but it's not in the cards for me right now. I'd love to have friends in other countries :) And US friends, where are your favorite places to travel?

Same here. Hubby and I are going to Spain next November to scout out possible retirement option. France, Portugal and Greece are also on my list.

Africa is a continent, not a country. There are many different cultures.
I live in the US, but my family is Egyptian. I go to Egypt every few years to visit family, and l love it so much!

So is Australia so I'm guessing that's out of the question then?

    Australia's also, an island!

If I remember geography class, Australia is a continent consisting of several different countries/states, including Australia. So it wouldn't make sense for someone to say they loved Australia if they've only been to Tasmania. It would if they've visited Australia though. Africa has over 50 countries. I would be really impressed if one person visited each country. Especially Kenya- it looks beautiful there.

In October I got to fulfill a 30 year old dream and went to Morocco. It was way better than anything I could have imagined. I loved every minute!

Now, don't get any ideas. I was thinking more like shared custody situation. I don't really have time for girlfriends or boyfriends

Yeah, what YOU were thinking? We were just merely discussing friendly interactions. PowerMan40 will take our new international friend to his gym three times a week, and I'll take her hiking )) and, btw, I am international too

That made me giggle. But, it's WRONG!! The Irish have the best bacon, really helps as a genuine hangover cure. They are second only to us Scots
