I need help with feeling guilty.
I need some encouraging words; I'm known for being too hard on myself. For the past (what seems like) months, I've been trying to do the best with trying to get the gym 5 days a week, but something ALWAYS gets in the way. The past few weeks I've forgotten my gym clothes at home at least one day a week (I go to the gym…

Ladies: Copper IUD opinions
Hi all, I would like to know some honest opinions about the copper IUD from women who have gotten one. I would to like to try a hormone free option since I think the pill has been steadily affecting my weight (every time I go on the "sugar pill" for 7 days, I drop weight). A few facts about me: - 31 years old - Been on the…

I need honest opinions about Weight Watchers
I was wondering what everyone’s honest opinion is about Weight Watchers. My work is offering WW to it’s employees with a full reimbursement, plus $100 bonus if you lose 8% of our starting weight. I went to the open house meeting and here are the things that stuck out to me as odd… - The point system in general: It’s based…

I can't wait to not look like a sausage anymore.
That is all. Carry on.

I want to hear from people who were always thin but are now fat.
So here's the thing- I feel like almost every weight loss story starts with “I’ve struggled with weight loss for as long as I can remember…” When I hear that I immediately think that I can’t relate to this person or their story. The last five years of my life were the first years that I’ve struggled with weight. I’ve been…

Air Fryer?!
I've just been introduced to this crazy contraption from a TV ad (at the gym, ironically). It's suppose to cook your food just like it's fried, but with NO oil. So essentially it's just baking it and certain way. Does anyone have one? Im dying to know if they would work for a healthier lifestyle. (ie: Sweet potato fries,…

Calling all Fitness Competitors/ Body Builders!
I need your stories today. How long did it take you to become "stage ready?". Where was your body when you started your journey (overweight, toned, thin...)? I'm asking because I decided in Feb of this year that I would being prepping for my first NPC Bikini Competition, target date is at the end of October. And although…

Same Weight- VERY different result (with pic).
The scale has, and always will be, my biggest enemy. The picture on the left is me at 147lbs and 32% body fat. The picture of the right is my at the same weight- 147lbs and 24% body fat. My goal body fat % is between 14% and 17%. Hoping this post can help people look past the scale.

Eating the same thing everyday
I would like to know your opinion on eating the same thing (almost) everyday. I do (eat the same thing..) and I'm not sure if its hurting my results. During the week I live a busy life: Wake up, commute 45 minutes, work til 5:30 or 6, gym from 6-7:30pm, commute back 45 minutes. By the time I get home, I'm beat. The last…

Calling all 5"3' ladies
Hi Ladies. I need your stats. I would like to compare them to mine  Height (if not 5'3"): Age: Starting weight: Current weight: Goal weight: How many calories do you eat a day? Do you eat back "exercise calories"? Do you allow yourself a cheat meal or cheat day? On average, how many calories do you burn per workout?…

Adding more cardio for weightloss
Hi all. My weight loss has stalled and I'm thinking it's because I'm not getting enough old fashioned cardio. My usual workouts consist of bootcamp twice a week, personal training twice a week and INSANITY class twice a week. Many would argue that INSANITY is not cardio. I personally don't know if it is or isn't. I feel…

Motivating Audiobooks
I started listening to Self Improvement audiobooks while I work instead of listening to music. So far I've found "Master Your Metabolism" by Jillian Micheals to be really inspiring. I'm also reading "The Slight Edge" by Jeff Olson on my way to and from work. I tried listening to "The Happiness Project" audiobook but hours…

Logging food that's not in the system.
Hi! I want to start logging in food when I go out to eat (which is maybe twice a week) but I have no clue how to log food that is not already in the system. For example, I always go to this little hole-in-the-wall Irish Pub and get a chicken caesar wrap. This is not a restaurant that displays their nutritional information…

Fiber!
I need some good fiber supplement recommendations. I feel like it would really help me keep water weight off and keep things more balanced with the changes in my diet. I prefer pill form because I hate drinking stuff with that weird artificial flavoring. Do you guys think something as simple as "Benefiber" or "Metamucil"…

Calorie Confusion: Do you believe?
We've all heard about muscle confusion; it's the main reason why P90X is so successful. But do you believe in Calorie Confusion? As in eating a different amount of calories everyday in order to keep your metabolism working. In theory (to me) it makes some sense. I know that if I take a pain medication for too long (such as…

Is Caffeine an Appetite Suppressant?
I hardly ingest any caffeine. All I drink it water, but today I woke up with a huge headache and took an Excedrine Migrane that contains about as much caffeine as a cup of coffee. I noticed it's now 2:00pm and I'm not hungry for lunch. The only thing I did differently today was take this medicine. Is Caffeine in fact an…

Low Calorie Chocolate Options?
Anyone know of any low-calorie chocolates? I love Skinny Cow Ice Cream Bars @ 100 calories, but does anyone know of anything else that can satisfy a sweet tooth without un-doing your day?

Fruit/Natrual Sugar & Losing Weight
I love fruit. I always have a fuji apple or clementines for a mid morning snack. They are low in calories, which is another reason why I love them too. When my diary is done for the day, I'm always WAY over my sugar. They seem to be coming from a few sources: Fruit, Organic/Local Honey, Veggies and protein bars. Yes, I do…

"The Pill" and weight loss
Does anyone know anything about being on the Birth Control Pill and trying to lose weight? Is it harder to? I've been on the pill for years now and I've steadily gained weight...so here I am 26 years old, prime "baby bearing" age and I feel like my body (especially my hips) have changed, gotten wider. I remember being able…

Looking for Supportive friends!
Hi All! I've been a part of MPF for months now, but looking for some more friends! If anyone is from Southern FL (my hometown) or the NYC area (my current home) I'd really like to be friends! I'm currently on a path to become stronger and thinner. In my college days I was the "tiny, petite" girl. Once I hit my…

VERY Discouraged! Help!
Stats: Female. 26 yrs 5'3" 132 lbs I've been working out consistently for 8 months now (Good week: 6 days/week; Bad week: 4 days/week). I've lost 12% of my body fat, gained muscle (I even dead lifted 115 pounds!) and stamina. My trainer say I should be thinner considering how strong I am. He's challenged me to a 1250…
