Logging food that's not in the system.

Hi! I want to start logging in food when I go out to eat (which is maybe twice a week) but I have no clue how to log food that is not already in the system. For example, I always go to this little hole-in-the-wall Irish Pub and get a chicken caesar wrap. This is not a restaurant that displays their nutritional information online, so I'd have to guess. Most of us know that depending on what they use in it (which I don't see) the calories range can really differ. How does everyone else log this in accurately?

Look for something that seems similar, then add some calories on top of that

I usually just got with something similar and on the high side of the options shown to be safe.

You can always ask how it is prepared and then keep good notes on the list of foods used or in the wrap. Then really add another 100 calories or so..

I agree with the other posters. If you really want to get more accurate, you can take it apart and weigh each ingredient to get closer to the actual cals. This will ruin the look of the food, but you will know from then on. Add 60 - 100 for butter or oil if they used it.
