Air Fryer?!

I've just been introduced to this crazy contraption from a TV ad (at the gym, ironically). It's suppose to cook your food just like it's fried, but with NO oil. So essentially it's just baking it and certain way.
Does anyone have one? Im dying to know if they would work for a healthier lifestyle. (ie: Sweet potato fries, "baked" chicken made with almond flour, falaffel... etc)

This is excellent, although I suggust you get Phillips Actifry little expensive but very durable.
It basically cook with Air, and yes you can make Salmon, French fries, steaks, chicken pieces and lot of other stuff with zero oil.
And very tasty, a great addition to healthy life style and very easy to cook. best of luck0 -
I also have an Actifry, which is very similar. I throw vegetables in there most often and it does make great crispy regular and sweet potato fries as well as really tasty brussels sprouts, other root veg, asparagus, broccoli, bell peppers, etc etc etc. My husband likes it when I cook wings in it as well as the skin gets nice and crispy all over, same with fish, shrimp, or chicken thighs. He also likes onion rings and calamari in it.
However, if I'm going to put something breaded in it, I have to let the breaded items sit for an hour or so beforehand because the Actifry has a paddle to move the food and it knocks the breading off unless it's well stuck on, but it does still work.
If you do like to fry things, I think it's a great lower-cal alternative, but I wouldn't recommend it over other methods of cooking if you don't currently eat stuff like that. We got it because my husband is a big fried-foods lover and I hate how the smell lingers after I've been cooking or him, and after we got it I figured out that it does a great job making kind of roasty vegetables, but I don't think I would have bothered with it otherwise as it's obviously kind of limited-use and takes up a fair amount of space.1
