I think they're fine, unless they come with a fattening sauce. Most of the veggies are flash frozen, so they usually don't suffer any deterioration. I just put them in the steamer and they taste fine.0

If I am unsure about a specific brand or package, I look at the labels to make sure there is nothing added.
Nutritionally, they are as good (or, depending on when they were frozen) potentially better than fresh. Taste-wise, I prefer fresh though.0 -
Frozen are fine for me I have seen some tests on so called fresh fruit and veg when they have been treated to remain fresh to be shipped around the globe and frozen would probably be healthier in many cases.0

I buy a couple with the sauces added (sauces aren't fattening - calories are) and use them for emergency lunches. Those steamer bags plus a can of chicken can make a pretty good emergency lunch at work. I know sodium and such - but I don't count sodium. I know it has more fat and faux food additives - but so would what I would choose without them. But them sometimes, I just eat fast food anyway.
My favorite use is as a bulker for recipes. I am forever adding a bag to a recipe or a prepackaged meal to boost it's nutrition and lower calories. If a frozen pasta bag (gasp - yes, those are in my house) makes 2 servings - I might add a bag of frozen spinach and some frozen broccoli - raising the servings to a hearty 4 and lowering calories for the whole pan. It works for me for quick meals.
I say for us, they are a necessity.0 -
I think they are great, I use them all the time.
Canned vegetables, now that's another story....0 -

Ditto.. ugh, canned... last resort!0 -
Nutritionally, they're better than fresh unless you're picking your fresh veggies from your own garden.0

They are good, as long as they taste good. Carrots don't seem to freeze well. Other veggies are great, frozen. I eat frozen berries.0

I used to only buy canned veggies for shelf life (emergency kit, etc.) but recently there have been more and more "no salt added" canned veggies available on the shelves. I still prefer the taste of frozen, so I usually only use canned when cooking them half-n-half with frozen or when I want something quick and don't want to wait the extra time to cook frozen vegs (e.g. lunchtime stir-fry).0 -
Why would they ever be considered bad? Does freezing add evil preservatives that I don't know about?
Sucks Paleo people can't eat them but that's their choice!0 -
Fresh is best but frozen is better than canned every day.0

Only Voldemort eats frozen veggies.0 -

No but vegetables must be blanched before freezing so they have been cooked already.0
