Wanting a Garmin HRM, but don't know which one to get
I've been researching a while now and I believe Garmin is the brand I want to go with for a HRM, If price wasn't a huge issue, which one would you get? I've read the descriptions of all of them on Amazon but I don't feel they include a lot of detailed information. I emailed Garmin support with some questions which is where…

Whats the worst food youve eaten before working out?
Once I ate a serving of plain greek yogurt before a 3 mile run. By mile 2 I was definitely regretting it. What about you guys?

ripped in 30 - level 1 soreness
I've been doing jillian michaels videos for over a year now. I've done all of 30 day shred and ripped in 30. For some reason, level 1 of ripped in 30 leaves my hamstrings sore EVERY time, even after all this time I've been exercising. It's weird to me because I don't get THAT tired during the workout. When I first did…

joint health/ supplements
I am pretty young (23), but I feel like my joints are a lot older. My knees hurt until I'm warmed up when I run, and they sometimes get sore after. Also, my wrists are very weak, and hurt when I do plank moves and push ups. For those of you who take supplements like glucosamine and chondroitin, do they work for you? Did…

suggest a good protein bar for me
I'd like to have some protein bars around for when I need that extra boost. I don't generally like protein powder shakes, and even though I have some I never use it because I'm too lazy to bust out my blender. I want suggestions for protein bars that don't have a ton of sugar, not too many calories(under/around 250-300),…

wrist issues
I love working out to Jillian Michaels dvd's (mostly 30 day shred and ripped in 30). My wrists hurt a lot during the plank moves. I feel like I could get more out of the work out if my wrists didn't act up. Is there anything I can do to help my wrists besides just keeping on doing the moves until my wrists catch up to the…

bluetooth headphones interfere with HRM
My HRM read very low (like 99 when it should have been around 180 normally) when I used my bluetooth headphones. I've never had a problem with my HRM reading low before, and after I took away the bluetooth it shot back up. Is there a solution for this or should I stick to my $5 walmart wired headphones?

spare tire! =(
I am in the best shape of my life right now thanks to mfp. I admit I don't always eat the best, but I usually manage to stay under my calorie goal with workouts. Fridays I eat pizza and drink beer, but thats usually the only day I go wild, and only for dinner. I have lost more weight than I could have imagine from where I…

whats the one move in 30 day shred that kills you everytime?
For me its the chair squats with chest flies on level 2 (and I haven't even made it to level 3!). I can never do every single one. I've been doing level 2 for 3 days now.

has anyone else noticed in 30ds...
The girl who is supposed to be advanced sometimes is doing more modified moves than the girl who is supposed to be doing the modified moves? I just thought it was kinda funny. Tonight I went back to level 1 after doing level 2 for 3 days. I noticed the advanced girl totally took a short break from the lunges during that…

want to take diet further (eat repetitive balanced meals?)
I know they say to eat the same things over and over and I think I want to try that, but I want it to be a very balanced meal for the calories. I've been varying between vitatops, cereal, and greek yogurt for breakfast. I'll have a frozen meal or random stuff for lunch and dinner. What do you think of this diet plan?…

quirky dietisms
I don't really think I'm obsessed, as a matter of fact I think I used to look at MFP a lot more and freak out about the calories and stuff. Lately though I've been a lot better about trying not to just "eyeball" things. I've considered making measuring cups permanent residents in my purse.... What "crazy" stuff have you…

Just a thought on weight loss shows
"Biggest loser" is very motivating and awesome. "I used to be fat" is inspiring. My whole life the most weight i've needed to lose was 45 lbs, but when I was younger it was more like 10-20 lbs that I needed to lose. Where's the drastic help for the people who just can't seem to lose that 10-20 lbs that we've been…

New to the forum, been using MFP for a while now
Hi everyone, I intend to start posting on here more. I've been using the MFP app for android for about 80 days I think. My name is Jenna, my top weight was 181 lbs (I'm 5'6"). When I started using MFP I was at 172 lbs and 80 days later I'm at 153.5lbs. I typically work out 6 days a week doing 30-45 mins of cardio…
