Starting over
Got a new job that requires a lot of sitting and the weight is coming back. Need motivation and strength to start over. I know it takes time but frustrated with myself for letting the weight come back

is there a way
to change your start weight?. The first time I did MFP I weighted 191, but stopped and gained plus; now I am actually down 9.2 pounds, but MFP shows only 3.4 pounds lost.

Have you every thought
about what got you in the position you are in now where you have to lose weight. I have been doing a lot of thinking about it for myself. When I got married I was 125 pounds, I gained weight with pregnancies but lost most. I think I got comfortable in my marriage and did not try to maintain a smaller weight, but I think…

one month done
Started out at 196.8 - today weight 190.2 (lowest was 189 this month). So not to bad. Been walking almost every evening now up to 2.4 miles. Gave up cokes and have not had one this entire month. Goal for next month to lose 10 more pounds and be close to180. I am taking this journey one step at time, but will make it to the…

well off to a good start
Yesterday went for a walk, walked 2.5 miles according to the arm band that records distance and steps. Went from my house up to the reservoir and then walked around it and then came back home. Was tired, but felt good. This morning set the alarm for 5 a.m. ( I really tried to get up that early, but ended up getting up at…

starting a new life
I am back on the board, a lot happened and I ended up yo-yoing, but I really need to lose 50 pounds. I work out of my home and my job is sedentary, and I really needs friends that will push me to get up an get out and walk and exercise. I know I can do it, but sometimes I just need the encouragement and the push. Family…

hello
I am starting over. Winter time kind of knocked me for a loop, to much stress with things at work and at home and I lost track of me in all of it and I quit posting and recording, although I did try to mentally stay within my limits and exercise. Now things have settled down and I have got to get back on track for me. So I…

new week, time to get back on track.
Fell off the wagon this weekend, was up this morning; so back to the basics for me... Got to stay on track because I really do not want to gain all the weight back...

How long do you keep friends on MFP if they have not logged on, there are a two of mine that have not been on for 3 months.

milk substitute
the allergist said I need to stay away from milk products for four weeks, was wondering what is the best milk substitute.

how come when you achieve something
someone always does something better and make you feel bad. Told sister I had lost 10 pounds, she says "well I gained 4 but mine is all muscle." Then she asked how I lost and I said I had been walking and eating better and she says "well I am walking 3 miles." You ever feel like you are butting your head against a wall. I…

anyone got any good slow cooker
meals that are healthy. I figure if I use my slow cooker than maybe I can get in walks or a little longer walks.

when you are sick
how come all you seem to want to do is snack? Nothing tastes good, but it seems all you want to do is eat/snack all the time (or at least I do). Been drinking water, but still feel thirsty. Trying to snack on healthy things. Any good suggests on what to do until this cold/flu is over.

incentive for weight loss
Since I need to lose almost 40 pounds decided to divide by four. For each 10 pounds I lose I am going to do something special for myself. Nothing to expensive don't have the money. I have thought of getting my hair done when I lose 10 pounds, or maybe a new outfit when I lose all 40 pounds, but need some ideas for the…

made it through Thanksgiving
Did not eat everything in sight, moderation was the key, was still able to go for my walks, and feel so much better than I usually do after a holiday. Was only up 1 pound today from where I was in the middle of last week, but I feel that by the middle of the week will be back down.

two weeks on the board
and hanging it there, trying to get in the habit of getting up in the morning to walk or climb on the exercise bike (if it is raining.) So far only missed one day. Trying to get rid of all the junk food out of the house (husband and kids were not wild about that idea, I told them if they wanted it they had to buy it and…

playing around with the site
found the BMI section. It says my ideal weight is 111.2 to 150.2. I don't think I can get to 111, so aiming for 150 and then rethink after that.

biggest loser video
My daughter and I purchased one of the biggest loser video that has the 10 minute workouts, and have started doing them during my lunch break. Has anyone else done these? If so how do you calculate the calories for the MFP exercise section. Connie

starting MFP
I had done this before, but it has been a while and I don't think I gave it 100%, this time I have to as I have been diagnosed as pre-diabetic. My daughter is doing this with me, so it will not be like I am alone in this although she does not have to lose any weight, she is just my encouragement and my motivator. Wish me…
